because I feel goofy using the debit card for $5. But I’ve noticed my threshold for “too small for the card” is dropping

I saw a woman at the check out in front of me use a card to purchase a small package of potato chips, maybe 39¢ or so and that was her only purchase, also don't know if it was a debit, credit or EBT card.

Could have been credit. My boss has a card which is his emergency card, but something in the terms keeps it fee free if it’s used once a month, he doesn’t want to put anything major on it because it’s for emergencies, so once a month he buys a pack of gum with it. Says he feels silly doing it, but it’s better than a fee.
