As clashes between Egyptian police forces led by Muslim Brotherhood president Mohammed Morsi and Egyptian protesters angry at Morsis power grab escalated, the US embassy in Cairo weighed in. You may remember the embassys last embarrassing tweeting escapade on 9/11, when embassy staff tweeted apologies for a YouTube video even as the embassy was stormed. Today, as the embassy fell under assault, they tweeted:

The US Embassy should shut up.
I read their idiot tweets at the link.
Oh, we’re so THRILLED that they’re blowing off steam!!!
Today, as the embassy fell under assault,
Um, I think this might be the important part.
Any mention on the MSM?
I have no idea. Football was on here all day.
HERE............
So sad.............I have been to Egypt. There are GREAT people there. If Morsi actually said this, he can pound sand. Literally. Thanks so much ObUmmer for letting this happen so swiftly..........
Yeah, the infidel tax.
Barack, are you proud of this????
the chickens “always” come home to roost...U just gotta figure out who feeds them the best....
Humans...Well...they’re different...Hard to train a big bunch of ‘em....
What Youtube video are they watching in Cairo now?
Women were attacked, stripped and “mass raped” during these riots....
The protests and attack in Cairo on Sept. 11th weren't about that stupid 'video.'
Brian Lilley: The MSM is lying about the muslim riots
Interviews on the streets of Cairo. 'Video' had nothing to do with protests and attack.
Clips from the 'video' were first aired on Egyptian TV just 3-4 days before Sept. 11th by a hardline 'tele-Islamist.'
I spent the better part of 4 years working for the State Dept in Iraq. One of the first things you encounter is being asked what you do for DoS and what school you went to. Many will brag that they work in the Econ section, Political Section or whatever other sections they have.
However, the very, very large majority of DoS, USAID and their liberal, progressive contractors live in an alternate universe. They spend their lives living behind walls and attending cocktail parties on the taxpayer dime. And, pretty much to the person, they’re almost all muslim sympathizers.
did he forget to say, “or be killed if you don’t exercise these options”?
If I’m not mistaken, its either convert, pay or die with his folks.
It reminds me of that little poem called The Young Lady From Niger.
Did you see this post earlier tonight?

Alternate universe is a good description.
Elections have consequences - here and in Egypt. The Americans voted in a subversive who is bent upon destroying America from within. Until Americans realize this and acknowledge this, there is little we can do.
The Egyptians replaced a relatively benign dictator with a dictatorship of religious fanatics. Let them deal with it.
While working in Iraq, it was common knowledge that the DoS personnel thought that if it weren’t for the security contractors protecting them and the military doing their best to keep the peace, Iraq would be a peaceful place.
This was said with a straight face, all the while being protected by armored SUVs, 12-14 guys with rifles, and as was the norm - normally taking something of value or promising something of value to the Iraqi’s. So, yes, it was quite easy for them to think they could do their jobs without the grunts. But when asked if they would be willing to drive themselves around Baghdad, they would say it was too dangerous.
They just think that everyone loves them. When in fact, its the taxpayer money and material that is provided to them by our geniuses in DoS.
