"How could they do it?" asked former U.S. Rep. Barbara Vucanovich, R-Nev. "I am amazed we had this law."

Wouldn't such a law have been logical in 1951, when we were in a shooting war with Communists in Korea? I'm surprised that Barbara Vucanovich, a conservative with a good voting record, would ask such a dumb question.
