Romney aides blast 'hypocrites' who asked for cabinet jobs and are now trashing him
Daily Mail (UK) ^ | November 23, 2012 | Toby Harnden

Posted on 11/24/2012 9:15:02 PM PST by Lancey Howard

Former senior aides to Mitt Romney have hit back at the 'craven hypocrites' in the Republican party who just days before the election were clamouring for jobs in a Romney administration and are now belittling him.

'There were one or two well-known figures who were late committing to support him, were the most eager to curry favour when it looked like we would win and are now out there trashing the governor.

(snip)

But the other senior adviser, who declined to be named when criticising senior Republicans, singled out Governor Bobby Jindal of Louisiana and Newt Gingrich as among those who had been quickest to lambast Romney. After Romney told donors on a post-election conference call that many voted for President Obama because he had offered them 'gifts', Jindal said Romney's comments were 'absolutely wrong'. He said: 'We have got to stop dividing American voters. We need to go after 100 per cent of the votes, not 53 per cent - we need to go after every single vote.'

That was a reference to Romney's notorious '47 per cent' comments in which he said that proportion of voters was dependent on government and would inevitably back a Democrat.

Gingrich called the 'gifts' comments 'nuts' and 'insulting' to voters.

The anonymous adviser said: 'Bobby Jindal wanted very, very much to be Vice President. He appeared publicly with Governor Romney after the 47 per cent comments, which the governor himself said were totally wrong. 'Newt Gingrich made it clear to us he wanted to be part of a Romney administration. 'Both these guys - and others - were the governor's best friend when it seemed he was on the brink of becoming our 45th President. Now they're calling him a bum. Real profiles in courage.'

RE :”I didn’t like Romney from the beginning. I think he ran a horrible campaign”

But in the massive conspiracy delusional (he stole the election) world this doesn't matter.
Obama can win no matter what, So we are all just slaves to him. Submit and be happy with food stamps or commit suicide. Those are our only choices.

In that imaginary world Rs can put up Collins or Snow, it doesn't matter. Romney is irrelevent.

Bobby Jindal wanted very, very much to be Vice President. More evidence that Bobby Jindal is a freaking moron.

Don’t forget all the subsidy receivers and the “freetrade” jobs movers who’re able to go overseas because we won’t impose an environmental and slave labor arbitrage tariff on Chinese imports...

It was chilling to see the actual Rat base (not factoring in actual voter turnout interest, which the Rats did better than the GOP) poll out at that number. Although there was some overlap. Some nominal capitalists voted for Obama (please tax me more!) and others on the dole now but wishing for better times voted for Mitt.

Hey Romney just did what he felt was right for himself and the country.

go after the Republican Party Establishment along with their friends in the MSM who crammed another loser down our throats....this is the 5th time in as many republican presidential seasons that we have been given country club republicans. How Reagan got through the phalanx, is unfathomable.

(yes I include both Bushes)

Newt and Palin haters are like a cancer or maybe dressed up as conservatives. Newt has done more to lift people out of poverty. No wonder our side keeps losing

I agree with the Palin presidency, but Newt is spoiled goods to many in the base...no matter what how good his politics are...like Herman Cain, his need to express his manhood is unacceptable to the “fundamentalists” who make up a chunk of the base.... I disagree with that basis for choosing a candidate, but don't think you can get a strong constitutional candidate without the religious portion of the base...we are a flawed party.

Mr. Backstabber RINO Romney got OTHERS to attack
Gov. Palin on the eve of Election 2008.
And he could not even win, himself.

Romney and Rove are scum, who PUT Obama in office
and kept him there.

Once you walk away from defending the innocent, you have crossed into the dark side. It becomes easier and easier to support all manner of evil.

Speaking of insults. Yes the Republicans insulted me by selecting the RINO Mittens as their standard bearer. This election cycle the Republicans lost all RINOs, Senators and Presidential Candidates. Of the three conservatives Ted Cruz won and the other two were not ready for prime time. Five RINOS to three conservatives. One Conservative won the rest did not generate interest in the electorate

“Newt was right. Big gaffe. You never tell half of the country to go to hell no matter what-you wanted another Obama, no, thanks. You build people up, not insult them. Mitt came across as arrogant and out of touch. The Newt and Palin haters are like a cancer or maybe dressed up as conservatives. Newt has done more to lift people out of poverty. No wonder our side keeps losing. “

You are correct. As much as I agree with what Romney said, you run against the other candidate, not the electorate you are asking to vote for you. To the wider electorate, the remark was divisive.

Romney is discovering what the GOP does to its own if one tells the truth. Sarah Palin discovered the same.

The GOP must be destroyed. Its ceased to be of any use to anybody except the scum who populate it.

Its Tea Party Time.Back to the conservative principles which make the necessary balance to the liberal fascists we now must fight. The GOP will not even acknowledge that Obama is a fascist who operatesd under the principle that his ends justify andy means, they do not even know what they are fighting against, let alone what to do.

Let’s see. The only people that Romney could bring himself to attack were the poor and conservatives. I know a few people who would qualify as belonging to Romney’s 47% comment and not a one voted for Obama. How many of Romney’s rich crony capitalists voted for Obama? The comment wasn’t just bad politics it was idiotic.
