No, all the union killed was 18,000 jobs by being so f’ing obstinate. Yes, a 30% pay cut is a hard thing to take, but 70% of something is better than 100% of nothing. Where do you suppose all those people are going to find work in this economy? (hint - more drain on the unemployment fund that our employers pay into).
BTW, the union bosses will still be drawing their six-figure salaries. You think they give two s#its about the workers?
