In most states the unemployment has gone back to a Tier 1 and Tier 2 only which is a max 52 weeks. In most states the max is $350 a week compared to the $670 a week the workers were making. Also keep in mind that they will have to pay for Cobra at $300-$400 a month instead of the $100 a month they were offered.

Not only that, IF they qualify for unemployment, they are going to get hit will a tax bill at the end of the year. They really are a bunch of idiots for walking out. They will never recover financially.

Try $1500/mo COBRA for family of 3. We could not purchase short term due to my husband taking a cholesterol pill and the fact I am scanned once a year to monitor a benign tumor that will never become cancerous. I don’t take one pill. I am thankful we saved for a rainy day.
