Un-freaking-believable. The unions had a chance to salvage this thing, and save 18,500 jobs, and they chose to ‘stick it to the man’ anyway?

Good lord.....they’re incurable.

Bimbo will buy the trademarks and recipes from Hostess and make Mexican Twinkies with real sugar.

Never fear, there is a very wealthy Mexican who is dickering for the entire Interstate Bakery. If he gets it one of two things will happen. He will reopen the plants in this country with Mexican labor, or he will move it to Mexico and have all Mexican Help. I don't think he will want to bake bread. any one with flour yeast salt, and oil and water can make bread. The valuable one are Twinki and the other speciality items.

This happened at one the plants at the company I work for. Take some concessions and stay open, refuse and be shut down. The unemployment bennies must be very good in Racine Wisc because they chose unemployment. Good riddance to every union job lost
