I think this thread has flushed out some whorehouse fans! Yuck.
This man does not represent conservative values
"Just cause a feller believes it ought to be legal, don't mean he's gonna pay em a visit."
"You should get out of NJ and go out West for a spell. And don't forget to bring plenty of righteous indignation. It's of short supply til the city folk arrive."
;-)
One of his daughters works there.
I wonder if he gave her the employment test?

Ditto.
We don’t all agree that the owner of the bordello is a pig. Sad, isn’t it?
not whorehouse fans, miss m., just realists, and with enough commonsense and intellectual chops to draw the illuminating psrallels that have appeared on this thread. There will ALWAYS be gambling, porn, and prostitution, at least in the foreseeable future, because people enjoy risk and reward, titillation, and challenging the unknown. We don’t live in a perfect world, and I for one would never go to a prostitute,
having been married for nearly thirty five years, but I don’t begrudge anyone else going to the Mustang Ranch-—imagine if all the prostitutes in this country were able to work in an environment like that! We wouldn’t have these animals called pimps! And no, don’t tell me this politician who runs the Mustang Ranch is also a pimp! It’s the pimp/prostitute nexus that makes the whole enterprise criminal to begin with, with all its attendant complications like drug abuse, and physical violence, and gross exploitation.
I will leave you with two thoughts, the second of which is only two words. They are “just for fun” and don’t contradict
the arguments made above.
1, “Paying someone to have sex with you is like paying someone to let you beat them at tennis” (a friend of British
novelist Grahame Greene (who had a weakness for prostitutes)
said this to him.
and
2. Eliot Spitzer.
Interresting observation.
