It is hard to say good bye to a friend, no matter how old or how sick they are. Bill had a zest for life that was contagious. In is 80s he was doing things many don't do in their 40s (biking, kayaking, hiking, dancing at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame). He reminded me of the line from the musical Fame --- I'm gonna live forever.... but he didn't and I will miss him terribly.

I am sending you sympathy and gentle hugs for the loss of your friend, Dolly. I know he was a good friend to you, and you to him.
It was my pleasure to know him over the years through you and I thank you for sharing him with us. He was a good man. His was a life well-lived. God rest his soul.

Rest in peace.
My sincere sympathies to his family and friends - we are all irreplaceable but, nonetheless, we all must go some time. I hope that everyone the knew and was affected in a positive way by him will be comforted with their knowledge of the type of person he was, and that he and his good works will continue to live and spread through their own acts and words.

I’m so sorry to hear of the passing of your friend, Dolly. I did not know him, but that was definitely my loss... And, it’s definitely a loss to all of us here at FR every time another proud patriot transitions to the other side. They may be gone from sight, but they are definitely not gone in spirit - and just imagine how much he’s dancing and happy up there back with all of his old friends, and loved ones, and our Lord!
My prayers for all of you mourning his passing. What a full and wonderful life he led - an inspiration that we should all take to heart...
RIP Bill “Wheelbarrow” Barrow - I thank you for your service and for your dedication long past then to our country and to all of us. You will be remembered.

A beautiful tribute to this fine patriot and friend, Dolly.
God rest the soul of Bill.
I remember when you and other friends helped pack him up, gave him a party, and said a sad goodbye when he left for the rest home.
May you all be comforted as you mourn your loss.
We have all lost a fine American
