Its hard for this here honky to believe that the melanistic masses will pursue that nonsense to the death in the US, howling after the literally impossible, once their former spoiled lives are clearly no longer viable. But again maybe I give them credit for more sense than I should. I think you're reading the TEA leaves right. When the bottom falls out of the artificial, unsustainable gravy train, every single person in this country will get to work the day after.
A prosperous people can afford to indulge in such nonsense as Socialism and taxpayer-funded welfare schemes, so long as the wagon pullers are comfortable enough to put up with a little extra weight, but when that weight becomes such a burden that they can hardly feed themselves, the wagon stops, and everyone snaps back into reality. Hunger has a tendency to do that to people.

At the same time, you’ve managed to dodge the evil spell, and don’t know what it’s like to be under it. Maybe, against all reason and logic, the end will be to the death, or near it, as in riots, bands of robbers, and such. That would be a great tragedy.
