"Rove is pondering new missions for Crossroads to address weaknesses laid bare by the GOPs back-to-back failures to win the White House and the fact that the party fell short when expected to win back the Senate."
"Where until now it battled only in general elections and against Democrats, Crossroads is considering whether to start picking sides in Republican primaries. The idea would be to boost the candidate it deems most electable and avoid nominating the kind of flawed and extreme ones who cost the party what should otherwise have been easy Senate wins in Florida, Missouri and Indiana."
"That, however, could put Crossroads at odds with the tea party and other groups that devote their energies to promoting the most ideologically pure contenders."
"Crossroads also is likely to invest more deeply in organizations such as the Republican State Leadership Committee, which has been trying to build a more appealing GOP farm team by, among other things, recruiting Hispanic candidates to run for state-level office.".....

Something like 24 states are completely in GOP hands (all 3 branches of govt) and that’s largely the result of the tea party.
Good for you. I so so so hope you can run Lindsay out of town in two years.
The Tea Party wins when they pick good tea party candidates, like Tim Scott or Ron Johnson or Ted Cruz. The Tea Party should take a look in the mirror on the Angles and the Mourdocks - and not let phonies like Akin claim that mantle after the fact. In the Rove Tea Party battle, the Tea Party is 98% correct. Let’s help purge that ugly 2%.
And hey, see below: book on this exact subject out in days. It is a devastating indictment of the establishment back to 92 - all the way up thru 2012.
You’re right. I’m also sick of Rove and other pundits pushing the names of their favorites, while dissing the names of some of our favorites.
2016 is 4 years away. STHU about rising stars. Let the so-called “rising stars” rise on their own. We’re smart enough to spot them on our very own, and they won’t be moderate squishes in favor of the “Dream Act” or for “raising the debt ceiling another $2 Trillion”!
Amnesty will kill the Republicans. 30 Million illegals will now vote for the Democrats. I guarantee you that 95% of the illegals will vote democrat.
Any conservative pushing for amnesty is stupid. And you can quote me on that.
I hope and I pray that TREY GOWDY runs for US SENATE, SOUTH CAROLINA!
He’s my FAVORITE US CONGRESSMAN!
As much as I was against Romney in the primaries, the more it looks like the eGOP types such as Rove pulled a “Bay of Pigs” on him in the general election.
They should fund a massive, independent investigation into nationwide voter fraud.
UGH. You’re right.
I hate that, too.
I get kind of the same feeling myself. Romney wouldn’t deliberately throw the election but those around him might.
It kills two birds with one stone. The GOP won’t be responsible for the collapse that’s coming and they can blame the tea party for the loss and collapse resulting from it.
Rove isn’t a rat and he isn’t a conservative. He calls himself a Republican but that’s questionable.
During this campaign, he wasn’t as much of a “consultant’ as he would have liked for all of us to think.,,ie he really wasn’t in the inner circle with Stu Stevens and the gang.
The attention Rove did get from the Romney people was because of the money he raised for ads from his Crossroads PAC.ie it’s all about the money, stupid.
Well, we know how that turned out..so right now, Karl is personna non grata with the GOP elites..who are also licking their wounds...but not in the same room with Rove.
Trey Gowdy for President, onyxie!
Now that is a GREAT thought.
He’s absolutely wonderful!
Hey, glad you like him, too!
Smart, serious, articulate and very conservative. Led the fight against Boehner to raise the debt ceiling.
Karl Rove will destroy what is left of the Republican party.
Yea, we need people like President Romney... oh..wait a minute...did we just lose the most winnable presidential election in a long time??
