Imagine you are God. You have trained your people to embrace no other gods...
Don't elevate them...Don't sanction them...Don't endorse them...
Then a guy comes along, one of the 15-20% of all people of a given sect who has a "temple recommend" -- allowing them to believe they are a "god in embryo."
You know. A competitor to god. Somebody who would steal the Lord's glory. Rob His praise. Be a thief of His worship and prayers, by siphoning them off.
Despite this being an obvious rival to THE God...MILLIONS of God's people embrace this rival god...they endorse him...they seem to want to deliberately ignore his god-in-embryo claim...
And what? Do you somehow think that God was not mocked by His very people who treat idolatry lightly???
Do you think God would any less likely to remove judgment from America when now His own people continue to go off hurtling into political space embracing the pragmatic utilitarian political ethic of idolatry-laced relativism?
God is a jealous God and will not be mocked !
All of this anger today should be focused on the Mitt-bot mormon mafia !! WE told them from day one we wouldn't vote for thier cult leader and they didn't listen. They caused and OWN this !
The surprise of this loss only comes from those RINOs and so-called Christians who refuse to listen to the warnings about the mormon cult.
He is my God and I stood with him last night.
If we as a nation repent he can and will save us, even from Obama.
If we do not, the end is in sight, and the method of fall obvious...
And idolatry is exactly what it is. Well said, brother. I am saddened at the number of people who claim to follow Christ yet put their faith aside for politics.
My faith is more important to me than anything else, Christ said we would have to count the cost of following Him and often that cost is worldly gain.
“Do you somehow think that God was not mocked by His very people who treat idolatry lightly???”
We were looking for a competent CEO - not a religeous leader - we already have one of those - Jesus.
I understand your animosity towards Mormonism - I am not assailing that.
Analogy: Would not Egypt be better off with a non-believer like Mubarak who kept the Muzzies at bay and allowed the Christians free worship (and the ability to convert) - or are they better now that the Christians are being killed and expelled - WHO wiil preach the Gospel to those people now?
Maybe you’re right - maybe it will be better now as the persecution of Christians in Amerika heats up and we are forced into home-churches. It will eventually happen anyway - I just didn’t want it to be now.
