I didn't stay home. I voted for George Washington.

My conscience is clear.

God will not be mocked, and he is dividing his sheep from the goats.

Mormonism IS a cult and IS trying to take over government.

It has broken my heart recently to see misled Christians here on FR defending mormonism simply because left wingers were attacking thier political candidate. Repent. Render unto Ceasar what is Ceasar's and render unto God what is God's. Mormonism is a multitheistic, brain washing, authoritarian, sexist, racist, polygamous, secret nude death oath swearing CULT with over 110 separate sects....Founded by a convicted conman who was part Bernie Madoff, part Warren Jeffs, and part Harold Camping.(BTW Romney's loss last night is one more false prophecy to add to the list).

ONLY we who have lived under it's oppressive thumb, and those who care enough to learn, truly know it. It's those who don't know what they are talking about who criticize and play the islamic/liberal "hate" card against us.

Instead of jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire last night, we stayed in the frying pan. You all should be grateful to God, you do not know what we have been saved from.

I believe that laweeks said what many Evangelicals believe but will not publicly say as to why they did not vote for Romney.

“I have participated in this charade too many times to be snookered again. Our society is now a godless and disgusting gaggle of pro-homosexuality and perversion at its lowest. I personally cannot fault the Evangelicals for refusing to partake in this godless experiment in government. God bless them for showing backbone. There was no biblical Christianity on either side of the ballot.”

It had nothing to do with Mormomism and everything to do with racism.

Most of the congregation is Black as is this pastor. In 2008 many white families left the church due to the overwhelming support of most of the members for Obama. We were not there at that time.

Two weeks ago, my kids school (a private Christian K-6) had pastor appreciation day and hosted lunch for the pastors to have with the kids from their church.

My kids were at the table with our pastor when the school board chairman drops by and talks a bit. He held out his hand (he’s white) and compared it to the pastors (black) and my kids (chinese) and talked about what made everyone different. I have no idea what prompted this, but he is far from a racist...he has 3 adopted kids from China and Vietnam. Anyway, our pastor went ballistic and told us we should never allow our kids to go to this guys home (that would be hard, our kids are best friends with his kids) and then he proceeded to compare the guy to Jerry Sandusky. Jerry Sandusky? Really? For pointing out the truth?

Last year, after this same dinner, Mr. Pastor himself commented that he thought they seated him at the “minority table” because no one at the table was white. Our school is very small but VERY mixed racially...we have tons of internationally adopted kids that attend.

Thank goodness our conversation was interupted or there could have been a fight. I’m a bit of a pit bull and won’t let go once I get started.

I am still fuming at his comment however....

When John Thune beat out Tom ‘landslide’ Daschle in South Dakota (where my uncle lives) several years ago, people were driving in from Iowa to vote for Daschle. The locals were writing down license plates and so Daschle sued Thune the night before the election. It went to the state supreme court who got called out at midnight in a blizzard (not happy campers) who ruled that you could not write down (didn’t say video tape or take pictures) the license plates of out of state (not out of area) cars in the parking lot of the courthouse (where almost all voting takes place and didn’t say you couldn’t write them down as they were turning in). So several people, in typical South Dakota fashion, video taped the cars as they were in the parking lot then compared the numbers.

BTW, South Dakota has a voter ID law that no one has challenged. I know of one lady who makes her husband of 50 years show his ID.

I’m an Evangelical and know the Bible inside and out - do you not think that God could use an unbeliever like Mitt Romney to do His work here?

Great! We all believe in the sovereignty of God...Let me ask you something...I don't believe that Obama is particularly sensitive to doing God's will...but if what you say is so, why stop at a cultist "I'm a 'god-in-embryo' Romney"?

Are you telling us that God could use a Mitt Romney, but He absolutely can't -- as in NONE at all -- use Barack Obama for His purposes?

You show the same lame inconsistent application so many other FREEPERs have made...

(One told me how God used a pagan leader, Cyrus during Nehemiah's time...which is true...He did...but then, somehow, this poster couldn't bring himself to apply the same application beyond Romney!!!)

I’m wondering why I voted...but, I voted...anyone who stayed home, or voted for purple-lips, or third-party candidates, can now wallow in their own misery..

“And getting flamed for standing on my principles isn’t helping with the sleep factor either.”

Don’t sweat the capitulation-conservatives. More pathetic and self defeating people cannot be found. Guilt drives them, and no surprise. They have compromised and even collaborated at every turn.

I hope all those who chose not to vote for Mitt Romney, whoever you are, will enjoy the new Amerika under Obama.

#1...it's not new...Obama's already been socializing America for the past 4 yrs...in case you fell asleep or something...

#2...I hope those who chose to vote -- many for the FIRST time -- for a pro-abort liberal RINO who embraced socialist healthcare via RomneyCare will realize how scarred they've left the conservative movement...

They've proven -- again -- that we don't stand for anything...that we're the Democrats Lite...

Only the right kind of Christian, like you, is chosen and worthy. Are you sure you want to associate with those of us who are deceived by Satan?

- - - - -
I never said that. However there are CORE doctrines (about 14) that ARE required to be a Christian and ALL Christian groups agree with them. Mormons do not.

I accept and work with Christians from ALL denominations, that doesn’t change the fact that Mormons, because of their THEOLOGY, are NOT in any was Christians.

BTW, the Bible teaches that NONE are worthy. Look it up.

"Now what have you accomplished?"

She prevented the cock from crowing thrice after her vote was cast.

So did I.

The RNC has left Christianity behind, we didn't leave them. The prosperity this country enjoyed was God's shared blessing for electing OUR Christian candidates, not the other way around.

Think of this....People were praying to God, that a CULT LEADER who believes Jesus was not born of a virgin and "gods" made the earth, and that he is the savior, would win !

That's like asking a Judge to allow a child molester to nanny the Judge's children !

“But it would be a mistake to place the blame squarely on evangelicals. It was a combination of factors:”

One issue that will always have an effect on the vote of women will be abortion. R v W is imho one of the best tactical decisions the left has made. Many of our people can’t figure out how to use this to win they just want to control others lives which tells me that they are no different than the left. If handled in the proper way this could become a winner for conservatives. Teach, live and don’t demagogue use the voice of reason and remember it’s for the children as the left says but in this case it’s true. I think one way that we could help young women is to find a way to force young men to shoulder their responsibility. The left doesn’t want this as it leaves them vulnerable and in need of the governments help.

I’m surprised it was that low in 2010. And I didn’t expect you, or any of our group, to stay home.

Take a civics class, people!!

Sheesh! No kidding.

I'd have addressed this to the horde who seem to think you singlehandedly elected Duh-1 for another term by not voting for their candidate in a state which went to Romney anyway--as if the popular vote and not the electoral vote decided the election--but there are just too many people spewing (emoting) at you without giving the matter thought.

Kudos for voting your conscience.

I see the circular firing squad is going off half-cocked again.

I’m sure that if we promise to make abortion and weed illegal next time we’ll win. Oh, and we need to promise that those baby killing pot heads are going to get to wake up early and go to work at their new job once a Republican wins. /sarc

There also is a time to be a realist - God will not continue to allow us to mock Him - we will be judged - and that time is near

Imagine you are God. You have trained your people to embrace no other gods...

Don't elevate them...Don't sanction them...Don't endorse them...

Then a guy comes along, one of the 15-20% of all people of a given sect who has a "temple recommend" -- allowing them to believe they are a "god in embryo."

You know. A competitor to god. Somebody who would steal the Lord's glory. Rob His praise. Be a thief of His worship and prayers, by siphoning them off.

Despite this being an obvious rival to THE God...MILLIONS of God's people embrace this rival god...they endorse him...they seem to want to deliberately ignore his god-in-embryo claim...

And what? Do you somehow think that God was not mocked by His very people who treat idolatry lightly???

Do you think God would any less likely to remove judgment from America when now His own people continue to go off hurtling into political space embracing the pragmatic utilitarian political ethic of idolatry-laced relativism?

I think we all agree with Mormon values.

- - - - - -
which values are those? The ones that teach that it is ok to lie to non-Mormons if it furthers their goals or the goals of the Mormon church?

The ones that teach ‘families are forver’ until someone leaves and they are shunned, disowned, lied about, defamed, divorced from at the behest of their leaders?

The ones that teach abortion is ok if you pray about it first (that is in their church handbook from the leadership)?

The ones that teach the only reason to have a lot of kids is to help you become a god yourself?

The ones that teach that the church should only help members who are ‘worthy’ and pay their tithing even if they can’t afford to feed their families and that their families should starve so they can pay their dues to their BILLION dollar church?

The ones that brag about helping people in Haiti when they partnered with Muslims instead of Christians and only helped a handful of ‘faithful’ members and wouldn’t even let them inside the building while other churches opened their doors and helped everyone?

I pinged some others who have had personal experiences with these ‘values’.

This is correct: There was no biblical Christianity on either side of the ballot.

Doesn't mean that Christians did not vote.

Surveys have consistently shown 19% of voters will not vote for a Mormon for POTUS.

In this campaign, the GOPe chose a liberal that alienated the base, ran a no-risk Dewey campaign, a cultist, a Wall Street “robber baron”, an outsourcer, and someone the average guy can’t relate to.

Now they try to blame those they alienated in the base???
Did they think that they could win by taking the base for granted???

Yes, they did. Blame the GOP e for their pride and arrogance.
