Christie did not help. Probably thinking about his coming re-election than the presidential election. Neither did comments from Todd Akin and Mourdock. If GOP wants to succeed, nominate only those candidates who are good politicians and do not sound extreme, but yet operate on conservative principles. Too bad the 2012 field was weak and moderate Romney was the best we could nominate.

The best candidate for 2016? Marco Rubio by a mile. He is the best speaker I have seen so far in GOP who can run.

As much as I liked Ryan as the VP, I wish Mitt had chosen Rubio as his running mate.

He may well have won, had he done that.

I wonder if we’d run Ryan as Pres and Romney as VP if we’d have won then? I doubt Rubio could win against the clinton machine - the stage is now set for Hillary
