Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney is scheduled to arrive at the Pittsburgh International Airport for his final stop of the campaign this afternoon, but supporters of the former Massachusetts governor hoping to catch a glimpse of him might be disappointed because his appearance will not be public. Mr. Romney is scheduled to arrive at 3:20 p.m. at Atlantic Aviation Services and his arrival is only open to members of the press. From there, he will be whisked away in a motorcade. His campaign declined to say where he was going. The governor's marathon election day also includes a stop in Cleveland -- also closed to the public but open briefly to reporters -- in a last-ditch effort to pick up votes in a crucial swing state. He started his day by voting with wife Ann in Belmont, Mass., and is scheduled to end the day in Boston.

No matter; let's take to the phones and GET OUT THE VOTE instead! You can go here to make calls on behalf of R/R: http://mi.tt/VvV2dZ
I don’t like the sound of this. Hopefully a fragmented report or I am totally misreading.
They are not going to hold public events on election day that causes his voters and volunteers to go to a rally instead of voting or working the polls.
I’m reading it that his security detail has information on possible threats against him. Wouldn’t put it past the Dems at this point.
Then why bother to stop at all? Is he going to a Victory Center to make calls?
Thei is the Pittsburg Post-Gazette
Dont beleive a word they say
Just heard on the radio that Biden’s plane landed right after Romney’s, and that they are parked side by side on the tarmac at Cleveland Hopkin’s.
Yep. Going on the radio I would think.
Very odd and if he is going to motorcade from there, it sounds like there will be anothger public appearance somewhere other than the airport. Sounds like teh reporter is being a dem supporter and making Romney’s visit sound not worth it.
They’re a liberal rag, but I don’t see why they’d have reason to lie about this.
I think you need tickets for these events, like his other events.
Probably local media broadcasts where they do the most good on the last day.
Over the last few days Mitt has been telling the people at his rally’s to “Come walk with me”. I think he is going to be going door to door in Cleveland and Pittsburg today.
I heard him say “walk with me”, and he was not talking about literally walking. He said the door to a better future is standing open, and asked the rally-goers to walk with him through that door. It was figurative and had nothing to do with walking on the street to see voters in their homes, either.
Just sayin’.
I’m not being critical, just reminding everyone what the context was of the “walk with me” request.
