Ft. Walton Beach: Went by my polling place (Presbyterian Church on South Avenue) on way to work to see if I could get in quick. LINE WAS OUT THE DOOR AND ACROSS THE PARKING LOT!......

More Republican driven than Democrat here in central Florida, but I waited in line for 60 minutes this morning at the opening. After voting, the line was just as long behind me.

In speaking with the poll supervisor, she shared that they don’t close the polls at 7pm, they cut the line at 7pm and allow those in line to vote. Just F.Y.I.

It’s not an observation, just advice for all Floridians...don’t allow what happened in 2000 to happen this year. That is,if See BS calls the state for Osama Obama at,say,8:05 (Eastern) don’t you folks in the Panhandle leave the line or stay home thinking all is lost.Your polls stay open until *9PM* Eastern. And that applies, nationwide. If MSLDS declares Osama to have been reelected at,say,8:30 (Eastern)....crawl over broken glass to get to the polls in the other time zones. You just never know what might happen!

Okeechobee County. No lines at my precinct but when I was there the poll workers were talking about the number of ballots cast and remarked it was more than ever before. No Obama signs leading up to polling place, just Romney and local politicians. Okeechobee has historically been Democrat due to AG industry. Looks like it's turning!

Voted this morning in West Palm Beach, Florida.(heavily democratic)
My precinct has slightly more registered republicans than democrats. In 2008 Barack won my precinct by about 12% in 2004 Kerry won the precinct by about 5%.

Wait time was about 35 minutes to vote. I did not live in the precinct in 2008 so I cannot compare to 2008, but the crowd was overwhelmingly white and over 40.

North Pinellas county approx. 100 people out the door at 6:45 this morning, waiting for the polls to open.

I’ll be working my district polling place today from 4 til close. We’ve been told to expect large crowds.

Report from a central FL red area outside Orlando. Normally vote in AM before work and never much of a line. Today it was a line that streched halfway to key west.

Will try midday when most Mitt voters are at work and hope its shorter.

Jacksonville, 14th precinct.

Voting is toally jacked up. Has always been split into two equal volume rooms. Today, the predominantly Democrat area was given an entire room, while the predominantly Republican areas were combined.

I voted early, but my wife was livid that the Dems had no wait to vote and the Republicans were waiting 2 hours.

Florida has a very long ballot this election, so it is difficult to compare the lines this year from previous elections. Sorry to say that. I just voted in a predominately Democrat precinct, and it took about an hour, and I got there when the polls opened. Not sure what that really means.

I am here in blue Alachua county. Was cold and rainy but the line was out the door almost to the parking lot. The composition of the crowd was quite different than four years ago. Much less minorities and the under 23 demographic.

Dunedin (Pinellas County) ... Florida's West Coast ... 20 miles West of Tampa ...

Arrived at polling place (Dunein Community Center) at 6:30 am for polls opening at 7:00 am.

At 6:30 am there were already 15 people in line, outside the door.

At 7:00 am there were almost 75 people in line.

"Remember Benghazi !!!!!"

I proudly wore my Gadsen Flag Tea Party shirt ...

A special "thanks" to Newt Gingrich this day ...

Romney appears to have finally connected with "genuine" Conservatives ... and Independents ...

as he articulates almost EVERY point that Newt Gingrich was making when Newt won the South Carolina Primary by a "landslide" against Romney.

Seminole County—voted this morning. Waited, so we weren’t “first thing there” but still very early. Long line in the rain, quiet and friendly. Took about 40 minutes.

Liked our other previous voting places better, more room indoors. This one (at St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church) was tiny and very cramped.

Merritt Island. Voted at 8:30 this morning. Took granddaughter, now 18. She’s a Republican wench. Only Romney signs at entrance to voting place. No Obama signs. No lines, no waiting. We zipped right on through.

Got to my local polling place right at 7 AM, and there must have been 70 people in line ahead of me. I had to wait fifteen minutes to even get the the desk -- that's a first.

I hope it's a good omen.

Heavy rain and t-storms in southern Tampa Bay area. Steady stream of voters at the poll. No line outside the door at 8:50AM, however it was the heaviest voting presence I've ever seen in 15 years at this location. Poll greeter said there was a line out the door at 6:30AM.

Lots of extra tables set up as makeshift voting booths for filling out optical scan ballots.

Noticed some stray marks on my ballots, brought them to the poll attendant's attention. She assured me that the scanner would reject the ballot if the stray marks cause a problem. No problems.
