My high school history teacher was Miss Mildred Funk. You didn’t mess around with Mildred LOL. She knew history from the minute Adam and Eve got the boot! There were a lot of old maid teachers then, sort of like secular nuns I suppose. You learned or you suffered!
Not any more. The Miss Funks have long since been run off by lazy pupils, indulgent parents, and terrified administrators with their principal eye on funding.
