It’s about time the residents of PA atoned for Arlen Spectre.
I am trying to convince everyone I can to vote for Romney, and since I am a home health nurse I spend all day driving around, and I am seeing a lot more Romney signs than obama. Of course this is in the middle of the state which has always been strongly conservative. The problem is philadelphia and all the 47% there.
As for snarlin arlin, I kept gagging everytime I heard someone talking about what a statesman he was when he died, I wrote to him frequently while he was in office and his responses were always that he was voting the way he wanted to. Needless to say I quit voting for him many years before he actually got kicked out of office.
Re Dave Plouffe or whatever. We have adopted a neighborhood cat, a mixed Persian and something else, which we named “Fluffy” (aka Plouffe).
On ocassion, his tail stinks from his poop hitting it when he goes. This definitely reminds me of David Plouffe, a stinky ahole.
The difference is that our Fluffy is much smarter than Stinky, never lies to us, and earns its keep by getting rid of mice and rats. Maybe we should send him and the rest of our “pride” of cats over to the White House to do a lot of house cleaning.
Dear Lord please let Romney take PA AND TOM SMITH TOO!
ROMNEY WILL BE IN PITTSBURGH TOMORROW!!!!!!! No time or place yet but Fox says he will be here.
That gets coverage in 3 states. He wouldn’t be here if he didn’t think he had a good chance!
If R & R win PA the landslide will ensue...
I am putting all my hope on Romney based on what Michael Barone is saying. I have that much respect for him, will not rib him if he is wrong for sure!!!!
But back to topic of Toomey...What else would he say....Could he say anything but? :)
I voted for Toomey against Specter years ago. In 2010’ we got him in. We have the momo to do this and we ARE going to do this.
AWESOME and AMEN
He could say “it looks good but too close to call, it all depends on voter turnout”
Good point...my bad
“But back to topic of Toomey...What else would he say....Could he say anything but? :”
While there is truth to that, I do believe Toomey’s words are right. Even though registered Democrats outnumber registered Republicans in Pennsylvania by like 2 to 1, what we need to remember is that:
(1) Pennsylvania has been trending Republican lately, as Toomey mentioned, with his election as Senator, and a Republican sweep in the Governor’s Office and the state legislature
(2) We need to remember the coal miners-—Obama and his administration have been virtually waging an all-out war on the coal industry and that very likely has many coal mining families VERY angry-—this will help Romney in Pennsylvania and also in other coal mining regions like West Virginia and also southeastern Ohio.
I remember in the 80’s that PA was the home of Reagan Democrats hope this time its the Romney Democrats.
yes a other poster already made me see that I said a dumb thing :) Here`s hoping...btw I buy into Barones theory with hook line and sinker
Go Romney
Love the fact that Romney is heading again to PA on Monday
I hope so. 2004 was a big disappointment...I thought for sure PA would have gone for Bush’s second term. 2008 was a for sure for Obama which I knew from the beginning so it was not as much of a disappointment. However, if PA does not go for Romney in 2012 then I give up on my state that I lived in for most of my life.
If he is wrong, he is going to look foolish.
Well it won’t be just like 2008 or 2010. It won’t be like 2008 since obama’s appeal has faded. It won’t be like 2010 because fewer people vote in non-presidential election cycles. I just hope it is MORE like 2010 than 2008.
