Wouldn’t voting absentee mean even more hands touching my vote?
I like that I can go in, show ID, fill out the form, get the card, go to the machine, vote, read the hard copy printout, and leave. It’s just myself, a poll worker and a machine that does the interaction. No (Possible democrat) mail handlers involved.
What I DON’T like is that I can’t get my voting history and read it to make sure that all of my votes stayed what they were supposed to -and not changed due to malfunction or fraud. But, I’m in the process of doing that with my county.

I don’t honestly know, because like you I go in to the polling station to vote.

It would seem to me that the absentee ballot would be mailed in without showing what your votes were. Anyone handling the ballot would be risking throwing away a ‘friendly vote’ if they discarded yours.

I believe that employers are required to allow you a break to go vote if you request one.
