A flurry of swing state polls released early Friday shows President Obama edging Mitt Romney in the three critical battleground states of Ohio, Florida and Virginia, while Romney leads the president in Colorado.

In Florida, a Reuters-Ipsos poll shows Obama taking 48 percent support to Romney's 46 percent.

In Virginia, the Reuters Ipsos poll found Obama ahead 49-44 percent.

In Ohio, Reuters-Ipsos found Obama with a small lead, 47-45 percent over Romney.

All still with Obama below 50. VA is nonsense.

Internals (which they do not make easy to find):

VA - D+11
OH - D+6
FL - R+1
CO - R+5

All over the map, basically. These numbers are self-descriptions and include "weak" Democrats and Republicans. They do not reflect actual party registrations, which are not divulged in the results.

—Concerned freepers will soon be here to post concern posts about their concernedness.—

Your post made me laugh out loud! Excellent. Over the years I’ve seen people post here about the AP (Already Posted) Police, GN (Grammar Nazis), SP (Spelling Police), SSP (Stop Shouting Police, for folks typing in all capital letters) just about any minor infraction you can think of. Now, with your post and another a few comments down, I can add in the CT (Concern Trolls).

I love FreeRepublic! Oh, and I’m not concerned, I think Romney will win and it won’t be all that close.

This puts Reuters in last place for accuracy in 2008.

Romney isn’t “wasting” time in FL or VA for that matter.
He’s making sure it isn’t close and simultaneously trying to drag the senate candidates across the finish line with him.
He needs a majority in the senate to repeal zerocare and get judicial nominees through.

STOP LYING.

Romney was in Florida on Oct 31st. That's Wednesday of THIS WEEK.

It is NOT common knowledge that Romney is going to win Florida. It's convention wisdom here among the most optimistic, but make no mistake, in the real world, Florida is still close enough to have Romney making campaign stops there this week.

Some of you people have to learn how to discuss the polls and general election situation like adults instead of pouncing on anyone who points out that everything is NOT coming up roses. It's a very close race and many polls have Hussein ahead. Period.

Not in the future stops, and those are the most telling of all.

Hey, I have an idea: Why don't you project an air of optimism, say, ONCE IN YOUR ENTIRE CAREER ON FREE REPUBLIC.

Just once, to break the monotony of pure relentless doom and gloom.

Give 'er a whirl!

I'd prefer to go with reality. When people say dumb things like Romney has no chance to win, I jump all over them since it is obvious Mitt could win. When people whine about Romney not being conservative enough and threaten to sit out, I try to set them straight since we need everyone on board to defeat Hussein. But we do have to be able to discuss the actual facts objectively and not live in a fantasy world cocoon. This election is very close and by many measures Obama is slightly ahead. Now we get Rasmussen's tracking poll this morning and it shows Romney has just about lost his 2 point national lead - he was up 3-4 just a few days ago. Bad news is bad news, there is no point trying to sugarcoat it.

It’s sad to see the posters here still falling for this propaganda !

I disagree. Make it that Obama is going to win by 99 percent and get out and vote. It is stupid to think that showing Obama win is going to stop Republicans and especially conservatives to not vote. Does not even make sense especially this year. Romney is the worst candidate the GOP has ever had and STILL he is better than Obama. Just go Vote!

I don’t know what to make of Rasmussen, I suppose it concerns me as well, but I’m almost at the point with “Screw all these polls, let’s just wait the 120 hours and find out.”

It is time to say screw the polls... it is set for a vote and that is all that matters now. As I type now Obama is speaking on TV in Ohio claiming how great he has been helping out Americans and storm victims...... The media is running now behind this and ignoring what I thought was a death spiral just a week before with Benghazi on the burner.... no pun. Now it is in the hands of us all... America go vote your minds and forget about the polls...

LETS ROLL!

Laz,
In 2008, yep 2008, FREEPERS were pouncing all over FREEPERS who said that McCain was going to lose because of the polls were saying so. FREEPERS were saying that the polls were BS, full of crap, that the FREEPERS saying that McCain LOOKS like he was going to lose were “concerned trolls” or whatever. FREEPERS are not 100 percent right every time. It is nice for discussion though. I say get out and vote like Obama is 99 percent ahead.
NAPS

As a Virginian, my response is:

FREEPERS, FREEPERS who need FREEPERS,
Are the luckiest FREEPERS in the world
Were FREEPERS needing other FREEPERS
And yet letting our FREEPERS pride
Hide all the FREEPERS inside
Acting more like FREEPERS than FREEPERS
Because....
FREEPERS, FREEPERS who need FREEPERS,
Are the luckiest FREEPERS in the world!
