Video of Leno making jokes about Libya and the "first time" Obama ad. Makes you wonder who Jay will be pulling the lever for.
When Jon Stuart cracks a joke like that, then I’ll believe the left actually cares that Obama let those 4 Americans die for a lie.
I actually believed that Leno might be an Independent but Dennis Miller called him out a month of so ago. Leno is as liberal as the rest of them in show biz are and Miller dragged the admission out of him.
At this point I’ll welcome anyone in the media pointing out the failures of this president.
It was cover for giving arms to our enemies.
I think the late-night entertainers are trying to follow the trend as young white people are turned off by Obama; they don’t want to lose their “hipness” - in their industry it is the kiss of death.
All of these media personalities collaborated in the coverup of Obama’s inadequacy four years ago, and they can all go to hell. Technology has evolved to the point where it is very easy fpr one to be “entertained” for years without ever watching an episode of these shows.
Still, it’s all part of the trend, as you say, of moving away from Obama rather than worshipping him.
It was just interesting to me that not once but twice in this video Leno indicated Obama is not the one to vote for. And the fact that ANY liberal is bringing up the Libya coverup when the MSM is so silent about it is very telling, IMO.
I know this is not a popular view among Freepers, but I don’t see any problem with presidential candidate going to TV talkshow. As long as it’s selective and be prepared to set aside some questions, I don’t see why not. If, and I’m not saying he will, 0bama win on Tuesday, I think partly because of his visibility at the past 2 weeks before the election. After the 3rd debate, Romney only did state-by-state campaign, and he basically disappears from national media. Leno is one that I would consider. I don’t watch TV anymore, but IIRC, he doesn’t really play gotcha much, unlike Letterman or the women of the Views.
The stupid people that watch this stupid show think will think Benghazi is Ben Ghazi, a gay man that Obama is having an affair with....and they will think that’s REALLY COOL, MAN!!!
I fully understand where they're coming from. The successful media personalities are paid a lot of money. But for something like 99% of showbiz people, the industry provides low-paying part-time jobs, when jobs are available at all. Showbiz isn't like accounting, where stable jobs are the norm. Bottom line is that anything who catches the zeitgeist needs to milk it for everything he can, because he might be out on his butt tomorrow. And that means kissing up to his liberal paymasters even if he doesn't agree 100% with their views. While it might seem strange that something as peripheral as ideology might be so important to job security, it's not entirely surprising - the imbalance of power is massive, given the 99% underemployment rate in the sector. At the same time, I think the extreme instability of the work means that all workers in the industry crave some kind of safety net, which they look towards the government to provide.
Yes: I have no doubt , Leno will pull the lever for Obama.
You’re right. Haven’t watched any of them for years.
The thing that strikes me is not the joke itself, but the fact that Leno is confident enough that the story is known by the mainstream public that he can crack a joke about it.
The audience’s knowing laughter speaks volumes. This story IS GETTING OUT, despite the media blackout.
GOOD NEWS for new media!!!
That’s what was significant to me as well. It’s indicative that the American people are finding out about the Libya coverup IN SPITE of the complete silence of the MSM.
It also tells me that Leno knows that fewer people are in the tank for Obama, that he felt confident to make both of these jokes at his expense.
You’re right; it is good to see ANY cracks in the media facade of Obama-worship.
