My First car was a 51 Buick I bought for $300 dollars, the first new car was a 61 Chevy Biscayne I bought for $1700 dollars. I just bought a Toyota Vensa for $28,000 dollars.
The price is going up I used to fill that Buick at 17 cents a gallon, I fill the Vensa at $3.89.

Many, perhaps most, people work their entire lives without being able to afford a brand new car. We are supposed to pity Obama because he had to wait for a “new” car? (And what exactly was he doing to pay for a new car in 1991? Law school? Who paid for it?). It hurts him most that the manufacturer of HIS first brand new car is offshoring production. The fate of jobless American auto workers — well, who cares about the little people; let them eat gubmint cake. Barking Barry needs sympathy votes and Slick Willie feels his pain.
I don’t recall the term ‘hurt feelings’ to have been used by high level government officials until the Obama administration. Now we have to worry about ‘hurting the feelings’ of Moslems and, also, apparently about hurting the feelings of the president himself.
Most folks leave the talk of ‘hurt feelings’ behind in middle school, or at least high school.
