exactly nail on head.

This happens in the most important part of America ARF and all hell breaks lose.

The media or most of the national media are located up in NY city so they think all of the country is NY the DC area.

Do we see the media out in western PA reporting the storm, hell no, do we see them in WV, hell no.

Sandy was bad, and it hit a part of the country which is not used to it but trying to say this was like Katrina or Andrew or lets not forget entire towns in MO, OK with tornado’s or when TN got flooded is laughable.

Watching FOX and most of their rpeorting is NY city /NJ but the storm is out there in WV right now and I;ve seen nothing.

Like you said , now bozo the clown will be out there and saying how he is helping, remind people about Katrina whch was not Bush’s fault unless you work in the media and the media will say how he bozo the clown did a great job bla bla bla.

There is some flooding, some trees down, hell we had a tree down on power lines yesterday and a neighbor came and got his chain saw and cut it .

Thank your for your perspective, although there are those who will shake their fingers and wag their heads at you because you are not consumed with grief and concern.

I’ve lived through a hurricane (without power for two weeks afterward in Puerto Rico in ungodly heat), tornadoes, you name it. Back in June, we had El Derecho go through (if some of you FReepers haven’t heard of it, thank your precious MSM for that). It came quickly and left quickly and left a lot of destruction. I am not sure how many lost power, but it had to be well over a million, mainly in Ohio, West Virginia, and Kentucky. Being on the Ohio River bordering W. Virginia, we were in that number. Despite the crappy conditions (no power in the heat of summer on the river), life went on, my husband went to work, and we kept on living until the power returned. I don’t think Shepherd Smith was in hysterics about us.

I am sitting here watching the snow come down in southeast Ohio (it’s 24 degrees w/the windchill), it’s been raining since Saturday, and I’m pretty sure my neighbor across the road is going to lose a good amount of his corn crop. Some places in West Virginia are getting blizzard conditions. I’m sure they will have a thousand Fox News Alerts for this. (sarcasm)

Guy kite surfing in Lake Erie off Cleveland yesterday before the waves kicked up. Water's still warm in the low-50s. Waves of 16-20 feet were expected.
