Just an FYI for everyone but it seems help is on the way regarding power outages. Passed at least 15 or more bright orange trucks today on I-40 with buckets and drills for setting electric poles while we drove through Arkansas. I’m just guessing they are on their way to the East coast....hope there are more to help out. Prayers to all.

Ruhroh .. central PA wind just jumped up to 40mph and holding steady for now .. rain’s still light-ish, but I don’t much like it when the trees are dancing.
Current alignment of storm center is pumping surge around back side of circulation right into NYC area.

Battery Surge is skyrocketing - 12.34 feet - well above forecast and still an hour to rise.

Weather Channel reports ConEd will be shutting off power to parts of Lower Manhattan shortly.
Damn, and high tide is a few hours away.
I bet salt water can play serious hell with all the relays etc down in those tunnels, not to mention the hundreds of miles of wiring for everyone else !
Eye wall came over Margate-one town over from us north.We are in Bucks lower and the eye has pasted us and winds are bad.Keep hearing stuff hitting the roof.
Studio lights on/off/on again on Shep Smith's program set at FNC. Building facade collapsed on 8th Ave NYC. Cameras peering into multiple bedrooms on upper floors. ConEd has cut power to lower Manhattan.
