The bipartisan Battleground Poll, in its vote election model, is projecting that Mitt Romney will defeat President Obama 52 percent to 47 percent. The poll also found that Romney has an even greater advantage among middle class voters, 52 percent to 45 percent.
While Obama can close the gap with a strong voter turnout effort, reports from the field would indicate that not to be the case, and Mitt Romney may well be heading to a decisive victory, says pollster Ed Goeas.
Should Romney win by 5 percentage points, it would increase Republican chances of gaining control of the Senate. His coattails would help elect GOP Senate candidates in Virginia, Wisconsin, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Florida. Republicans are now certain to hold the House, Goeas said, regardless of how the presidential race turns out.
The polls election model takes into account variables including voter intensity, age, and education, and voters who are certain in their vote. The race remains very close in the surface, Goeas said, but the political environment and the composition of the likely electorate favor Governor Romney.

47%... Providential, I’d say...
Can we use the word REPUDIATION, anyone?
Repudiate:
1. To reject the validity or authority of
2. To reject emphatically as unfounded, untrue, or unjust
Sandy’s fault!
Is that like Biden’s three letter word “J O B S”?
Sweet.
Please elaborate. Meaning he does not have 270 locked up? Duh (them, not you).
“I would not put it past the dems to try and postpone election or extend voting due to hurricane.”
The only states where the hurricane is going to hit where it could possibly matter from the perspective of the presidential race are PA and OH. The decision to extend voting would presumably be made at the state level. The Governor and Secretaries of State of those states would presumably be making that decision. And what do all those folks happen to have in common?
They’re all members of the gop.
It is still going to be a landslide. Half the moderate rats will pull the R lever this year, and a good percentage of them will just stay home.
4 years of Obama fully cured ‘white guilt’, independents are well past that stupid experiment of electing the first Halfrican American community organizer.
“The dims will be buried in the dustbin of history.”
Unfortunately, they won’t be. Absent a concerted effort after the election to consign them to the dustbin, they’ll be back again come 2014. Kinda like zombies.
And the gop has never acted to consolidate it’s victories once it has them.
This is also where conservatives make a huge strategic mistake in not boosting a second party. Think of it less as supporting someone like the libertarian party and more of choosing who your opponents are. So who do you prefer? Gary Johnson or nancy pelosi? It shouldn’t be a hard decision.
Love that!!
Thank you Art.
I went to your link and found it very interesting.
I was confused about one item in that PDF file....it was the 2008 election. Instead of “actual” vs “projected” for the McCain/Obama 2008 race they use something called a “torrance” vs a “late projections” notation.
Not that I consider you an expert to put stress on you, I know you just provided a link. But if you know what that’s about could you clarify?
But, again, thanks for the link, the truth is right there in front of eyeballs.
Wow.
I think Romney’s going to win in a landslide, yes I do. There are so many signs of this and like Rush says, this run up to the election they have to report the truth else in the future they will be mocked.
And, as Rush said, the polls all show Romney taking a lead.
I think the Obama campaign is desperately trying to hide their impending doom because their internals likely show a landslide as well. They’re struggling to keep any notion from a landslide away from the meme cause THAT will keep away the few even bothering to vote for the moron.
America could have elected a fine upstanding black man who loves his country. Allen West comes to mind but there lots of choices. They didn’t have to pull this moron out of the pot-smoking crowd, goodness how they’ve hurt themselves by choosing Obama as their benchmark. We can thank the dictator-loving Black congressional caucus for Obama, not noble folks who loved their children and want a good life for their future.
Instead Obama will go down forever and ever as a disaster. If we get Romney in there and with some serious elections of local conservatives across the fruited plains, we can turn this country around and set it straight.
Then, about 20 years from now America will elect another moron, maybe a Muslim or some such....cause, well that’s our pattern here in America.
We’re nice, open-minded and like to give everyone a chance.
OBama blew it.
Sad.
< grin >
Correct. It was a “drive by” comment at the top of the hour (7 Central) Couldn’t stay for details.
The end of the week look for two stories developing. The Kenyan “suspending” his campaign to concentrate on the hurricane, and tell the country he has everything under control and not to worry that Uncle Sugar will take care of them. Also look for a drone attack that has “killed” the murderers of the four Americans in Libya. The Kenyan will go on national TV and and report to the world that “he” has kept his word and will remind everyone and their brother that he killed Obama Bin Laden and “he” has also taken out the killers of the ambassadors and Navy Seals. This SOB will try everything in the book to stay in power. Pray that this poll is right and the American public ignores this delusional bastard every time he opens his mouth.
Yes indeed he did!!!

Personally, I think Benghazi calls for a noose.
.. all enemies, foreign and domestic
It doesn’t matter, as the Today Show was happy to point out this morning, because BHO is poised to make an inevitable win in the electoral college. Thank goodness for the MSM; without them explaining “reality” to me, I’d be lost!
