I think this over hyped, as usual.

“I think this over hyped, as usual”

That would be nice, but I’m not counting on it.

Maybe. But may I refer you to Brendan Loy:

“Sandy is now the largest hurricane in Atlantic history, with its tropical storm-force winds having a diameter of more than 1,000 miles.”

Not overhyped exactly, but I think the media outlets are doing some outrageous and potentially dangerous things to get out the latest information. It always bugs me when an area is evacuated, but there is some tv reporter standing out in the elements at that same spot. In their eagerness to get ratings, they put their correspondents and crew in harm's way. Do I really need to see some poor guy with a microphone being battered by wind and rain to know the weather is bad?

I went through Hurricane Katrina in Biloxi. If I had it to do over again, I’d get the hell out. Better safe than sorry.

I was watching the Weather Channel, and the wind predictions are 80MPH in one spot, but 30 to 35 MPH in most other places. That’s not much of a super storm.

I suggest you take a look at the weather maps and the satellite. Any one with just a Middle School familiarity with meteorology should be able to see just how dangerous this storm is.

I only hope that the hype doesn’t lend itself to capitalizing on the weather ‘crisis’ to reorganizing election activities, if you catch my drift...

I put nothing past the tyrant in office. He has no character whatsoever!
