Thanks, Regulator, for the video tunes for the troops. ((HUGS))
Here’s one last YouTube video on the Halloween theme, this one is credited with launching an entire musical genre and with far reaching influence that is still being felt in popular entertainment today.
The genre was Goth Rock and the influence would be the Goth subculture and fascination with vampires. Recorded in one take, from the first single released off their very first album, in August, 1979.
Bauhaus - “Bela Lugosi’s Dead”

This is a particularly masterful live performance from almost thirty years later. Coachella, 2005. Bauhaus was on just before Nine Inch Nails who closed the festival, and many felt Bauhaus stole the show.
Peter Murphy, the lead singer, floating across the stage suspended upside down like a bat while singing the entire nearly ten minutes of the song was especially striking as well as a musical and technical feat. Can’t quite decide myself whether it was ultimately cheesy or not, but you’ve got to admire the skill either way.
It’s spooky and not to everyone’s taste, so know that before you click into it.
