Incredible call. What I heard, and correct me if I’m wrong, that absent a direct no-go order from POTUS, they would have rescued these guys given their standing orders. Is he concluding that no one but Obama would have cancelled a rescue mission? If Obama did refuse to order any rescue, wouldn’t someone in his administration by now be willing to give up his career to get the truth out? There are a lot of players who would have been witness to this travesty -— no one among them is brave enough?

Copied from another thread: I was reading Travis's blog
But while all of that military staging would have happened/did happen during the 6-8 hour battle at the consulate and annex, what the military cannot do on their own say-so is cross an international border without an order from the NCA, the National Command Authority, and that means POTUS, Obama.

Only POTUS can authorize a cross-border hostile mission. That is, guns clear, no official permission from the Tripoli govt (if it really exists outside State Dept fantasies.)

Only one man can pull that trigger and say, “GO!” Obama.

...

But no order came, as of midnight in DC. And then none would come. Because the POTUS retired for the night with a “do not disturb” sign on his door, punted, and went to bed, to be well rested for Las Vegas.

As Travis points out, Obama knew all this. He did not want to be blamed for giving the order to GO. He did not want to be blamed for giving the order "STAND DOWN". He did not want to accept responsibility for giving any order.

So he ran away, and by deliberate inaction, killed our men in Libya.

You understood correctly. Either POTUS -- or somebody speaking for him (Jarrett? Axelrod?) -- said "No go."

In any event, the responsibility lies totally within the White House.

Imagine yourself one of the Delta force guys sitting in a chopper on the tarmac in Sicily. You've been briefed, you know the target, you know what to do and how you're going to do it...and the order never comes.

When the lives of his diplomats were on the line, the Commander-in-Chief failed. EPIC FAIL is insufficient...

I have been listening to that caller several times now. Your understanding is my understanding. I am beyond livid.

no one among them is brave enough?

Or is it that no one among them is American enough? Has the rot thoroughly penetrated our government?
