I’m not military so I don’t know that stuff. That’s why I ask other people about it. And thankfully, they answer so I can learn something. =)

If one of the drones had a hellfire, that could have been used on the target that was marked with the laser, right? I’m trying to understand this. The very fact that we had 2 drones that were in Libyan airpsace says that we either had permission to fly there or didn’t bother to ask before sending in the drones. How likely is it that at least one of those drones had hellfires?

If the drone had a hellfire they could have used it. As far as permission, that is a red herring, don’t need badges and don’t need permission. As far as having hellfires, it depends on what mission for which the drones were tasked. Get the Air Tasking Order (ATO)for that day. If it isn’t on the ATO it was probably run by the CIA which really makes this stink, a CIA operator turned down by CIA air assets when in extremis. I’d be killing someone when I got back.
