Since the country generally rallies around the President in a time of war, I was at a loss to understand Obama’s ludicrous attempt to explain away the Benghazi terrorist attack as merely a spontaneous protest against an obscure YouTube video. After all, this is the President whose motto is “Never let a crisis go to waste.”
Now it is becoming clear. Obama watched the terrorist attack unfold in real time and was paralyzed. All he could think about was Jimmy Carter and how the Iran rescue debacle probably cost him his re-election.
After it was over, Obama was terrified that word would get out that he had done nothing to stop a terrorist attack or to rescue the Americans during the attack. That is the reason for the weeks long attempt claim that this was merely a spontaneous protest and not a terrorist attack.
At least Jimmy Carter attempted a rescue. Barry Obama only attempted a cover-up.
And the esteem for President Carter shot up immediately after that attempt - even though it failed. It wasn't until he gave up on trying to get our people back that he went down in the toilet.
Failure can happen -- but you have to try. When you leave your people out there to hang and dry - you don't deserved to be a leader.
