They fought for their lives for seven hours. 9/11/ 2012. Benghazi. The White House watched. No help was sent and they died.
Four Americans died in the jihadi attack on our consulate in Benghazi. Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods, two retired SEALS who were working as civilian security specialists in Benghazi, learned that Ambassador Stevens and nine other people at the consulate were under attack and rushed to their defense. The fourth man was Sean Smith, father of three, an Air Force veteran, working for the State Department in Libya.
The White House, the Pentagon, the State Department, and our military monitored the battle in real time starting with the first phone calls directly from Benghazi. A small military force from Tripoli was dispatched and was able to rescue some personnel hiding in other buildings. Ambassador Stevens remained missing, as did these three men. The fire-fight raged on.
The shocking news of October 22 was that a drone ordered in from Tripoli sent back images of the attack in real time. The battle was sent on streaming video direct to the Situation Room in the White House. Within two hours, emails from Benghazi reported that Al Qaeda in Libya was claiming responsibility.
President Obama, our Commander-in-Chief, had military options available to try and save our men. He could have had the drone armed with Hellfire missiles. He could have scrambled fighter jets from Sicily to drive off the attackers. He could have dropped in Special Forces. He had seven hours to take action.
He did nothing. Doherty and Woods died in the last hour of the attack.

Didn’t I hear a rumor somewhere that BO loves to watch and rewatch those predator “snuff films”? Can you imagine someone who gets off on that kind of stuff being able to watch it live? The Tacops room might need to get the same treatment after BO leaves, as the Oval Office bathroom after Clinton left.
The whole incident is so sickening I can hardly bear to read about it. It was the 3:00 AM call and nobody answered the phone.
We had drones that could have put a few Hellfires into that crowd of terrorists and I have a feeling the fight would have broken up pretty fast.
The truth is that that POS and his sorry Sec of State didn’t have the guts to make a move so they just watched their ambassador and 4 brave SEALS endure unimaginably horrific deaths. Thats why they couldn’t look Tyrone’s father in the eye at the memorial service. Maybe they at least had the intuition to be ashamed.
Obama simply went to bed and allowed these men to die.
Obama was worried about himself, his reelection chances. He simply went to bed. He already had a plan for the next day, Las Vegas, and he refused to allow this problem to change his plans.
While those brave men fought for their lives, Obama simply went to bed.

It just wasn’t in my train of thought at the time, but you are right of course.
I’ve read the Obama-saves-the-day story and it does have a lot of adherents. Perhaps Ambassador Stevens expressed reservations about the program — not enough to cause him to stay out of Benghazi on September 11, but enough to cause the Obama cabal to fear that he would go public.
When Genghis Khan was buried, they sent out a group of loyal soldiers to bury him in a hidden place. Then, when they returned, these loyal soldiers were murdered by their own people, so that the location would never be revealed.
This is a tried and true strategy.

Another theory is that the Islamists who have been supporting Obama really wanted the blind sheikh to be released. Obama was going to have to brag about killing Osama Bin Laden in order to get the support of Americans (which he did at the dem convention the week before the 9-11 attack), but that could jeopardize the world Muslim support - which may well be where a lot of his campaign contributions came from.
Obama walks a fine line, having to publicly pretend he is against the Islamists at the same time as letting the Islamists know he is really working for them.
There were stories about private negotiations to try to get the blind sheikh released, but it was pretty much known that Obama would be toast if he did so without some kind of political cover for doing so. I should look up and see when those stories came out, and when those secret negotiations were going on - how it ties into the timeline of security problems in Libya. Although we can’t know when Hillary requested additional security and was refused by Obama, since that information hasn’t been released yet.

I'd say it's time to relieve a lot of people in the chain of command... I am furious about the whole thing. There are so many aspects that any sane person would have addressed (leaving me to wonder...).
Then there's the line clearly crossed by the media refusing to do their job, and instead aiding and abetting the usurper. Not a new thing, granted, but done here in a grand sweeping gesture of "Who cares?".
Media is covering this up. BIG TIME. We have to relay on alternative media, tell friends like crazy, e mail to folks we have not in years, spread it by word after church on Saturday or Sunday, tell relatives, talk it over the dinner table, the whole nine yards. There has to be such a grassroots interest in it that the MSM CANNOT IGNORE IT. I say we need some well place demonstration signs at the entrance with POTUS limousine arrives for speeches, too. Let us get in their faces with such signs.
