A must have version of "The Star Spangled Banner"
To each his own. Doesn’t do it for me.
Madison Rising promotes the principles of liberty, independence, smaller government and personal responsibility. The band's name is dervied from James Madison, their favorite President.
Madison Rising brings great rock music back to the forefront of popular culture. With songs ranging from the guitar heavy opening track "Right To Bear," to the hauntingly epic sounds of "Honk If You Want Peace," to the beautiful violins of "Hallowed Ground," it is clear that this band is on a mission to not only make great music, but also send a message that American culture is alive and well.
From the Daily Caller:
Madison Rising shares a key belief with the late Andrew Breitbart: The left is smart enough to understand that the way to change the political system is through its cultural system.
Breitbarts words, the band told The Daily Caller, are exactly what Madison Rising is all about.
In a phone interview, the conservative group of rockers discussed their new single, their favorite guns and the importance of their music to the conservative movement. And, of course, they gave a shout out to their favorite president, James Madison.
Their new favorite presidential contender, however, is not Mitt Romney. Though the band originally told TheDC that it had decided to endorse the former Massachusetts governor on Friday, calling him the best qualified and most electable, in a phone call on Monday the group retracted that endorsement.
Politics aside, the band said they were most influenced by acts like Queens of the Stone Age and Black Sabbath, but the one band they can always agree to blast on a road trip is Metallica.
While Metallica lead singer James Hetfield is a conservative, most people in the music industry dont live by a conservative moral code.
Madison Rising is different.
Were not quite like anyone else, one band member told TheDC, We have values.
Here’s a link to my favorite version-Broadway singer Michael Maguire, at a graduation ceremony.
He’s a bit rushed, but pitch-perfect, and WOW! what beautiful, clear diction.
Enjoy!!
What Madison Rising does is interesting-and they are interesting, too!!
Thank you!!!

Van Cliburn begins every concert by playing The Star Spangled Banner.
Thank you. It’s encouraging to see the younger generation that enthused about our National Anthem. That is a great version.
WOW! Had to send the link to our sons in hopes they will see it and be motivated to vote for liberty (even in California!)
heard about them a bit ago and got it plus the album and I listen to classical or country. :)
Our younger generation ROCKS! Gave me chills it’s so good!
