Will last Tuesdays big debate moment become Monday nights big debate topic? Tuesdays moment came when the candidates focused on the recent attack that killed the US ambassador to Libya and three others. As the Wall Street Journals conservative editorial page wrote: It was Mitt Romneys weakest moment. Now as the campaigns ready for the foreign policy debate, to be held Monday in Florida, the question is whether Romney returns to the question of Libya. Political insiders in both parties say no. They are predicting the argument will shift to the questions about the presidents handling of sanctions to prevent Iran from getting nuclear weapons and the administrations testy relationship with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu. Even US relationships with Russia and China could get more time. So if Romney chooses to go back to the topic of Libya he is taking a big risk. It again could prove to be a blind alley where he gets mugged a second time. Meanwhile both sides fear any factual slip or glaring lack of knowledge in this last debate before the election. That fear is large in the Romney camp as they prepare a candidate with no foreign policy experience.

Juan is doing everything he can to help the Republilcan candidate. Yeah, right.
Juan Williams, idiocy personified.
But he is wrong almost 100% of the time.
But won’t the moderator be asking him questions about it.
I think Mr. Roomney is honest and I trust him to know what to say. The media will distort it anyway so the best thing one can do is be honest or at least that resonates with me.
Why doesn’t he just say that Romney runs a big risk if he returns to debate Obama, period?
Too many Obama lovers warning Romney off of this. We always do ourselves a disservice when we take political advice from our opponents. They don’t really have our best interests at heart.
Nice try Juan, but this will almost assuredly be Bob Scheiffer’s first question even thought he is Candy Crowley’s male surrogate.
Charles Krauthammer and Ben Stein have also been critical of Romney for how he handled Libya in the debate. Based on the debate as a whole, do they have a point?
At this point we can only ask "what lies ahead?"--what lies will Obama deploy on Monday?
Juan is backing Obama - his ‘fears’ for Romney are as phony as three dollar bills... He looks silly even saying it.
Juan fear a Romney knock out of his black obama, that’s all.
Juan and every supporter of the Marxist realize he’s a pathological liar.
Juan who?
Don't be fooled by that Cheshire cat smile. Juan Williams is 100% racist bigot.
Good description. Seems like a nice guy but he’s wrong.
Obama’s entire mideast policy going up in flames and Romney shouldn’t mention it?
I think instead of getting bogged down in details and parsing words (in lawyer fashion) Romney should explain the BIG PICTURE:
1. The apology tour didn’t work;
2. No respect = more dangerous world for everyone and especially the United States;
3. Energy independence means we aren’t dependent on mideast oil and won’t be drawn into wars there;
4. We can’t allow a militant state that has a history of backing terrorists to get a nuke; and
5. Why are we apologizing for Free Speech rights? We need to educate the rest of the world how a free democracy works, not apologize for our basic God-given rights.
As Romney said at the Al Smith Dinner: I never suggest that the press is biased. I recognize they have their job to do and I have a job to do. My job is to lay out a positive vision for the country, and their job is to make sure no one else finds out about it.
They’re called “concern trolls.”
Sorry, Juan...Americans are mad as he## and want answers. We wan’t the truth and the cover up with a thousand lies to end. I hope Romney looks straight into the camera and says that.
Over?.....seriously....get a grip....
Juan is nuts, if he’s right it’ll be the first time.
translation: Juan hopes like hell Romney don’t mention Libya.
Too bad Juan, your little boy king is a major **** up and needs to be expose as the POS he is......optimally
