I was trying to be gracious. Maybe “you must not understand Massachusetts very well” would suit you better?
Anne Fox, president of Massachusetts Citizens for Life, said Scott Browns pro-life voting record helped him win former U.S. Sen. Ted Kennedys vacant seat in 2010, making him the first Republican senator from Massachusetts since 1972.
Fox also said the 2012 state elections could be greatly affected by the pro-life voting bloc.
I certainly dont think Romney is going to win in Massachusetts, but I think that the pro-life vote will show up in the Senate race, Fox said.
.....
“The Right to Life vote made the difference for Sen. Brown in 2010. It will make the difference again!” Anne
I don’t see anyone cheerleading Tisei here, only objections to purists who want to support a more liberal Democrat instead. That makes no sense in MA.
dj, there are some on here who consider themselves “conservative”, but have little interest in “social issues”. (Lurker). They cannot understand why we reject a coalition candidate with this support:
ProLife-———GOP-————NARAL———GayRadicals
a peculiar coalition. Mr. Lurker, don’t be too offended if the pro-lifers drop out of such an arrangement. Perhaps you can broker a deal, NARAL and the homos agree to support pro-life Bielat in return for pro-life support for Tisei. Ya think the NARAL Nags would agree to that one?
Again, if yer kickin the prolifers out of the coalition, don’t be surprised at our reaction! The Mass GOP made the decision, not us.
Scott Brown is running ads underscoring his pro-choice position.
To try either falsely claim that he’s been endorsed by a pro-life group that hasn’t endorsed him, for obvious reasons, or to use him as an example of a successful pro-life pol in MA is very unfortunate.
I don’t meanwhile doubt that certain pro-candidates can win in certain races in MA, but I don’t see why that justifies backing a more liberal Democrat. And to be called a ‘RINO’ here for backing the more conservative candidate in the race is also unfortunate. I really think a number of Freepers are deluded about the Massachusetts electorate.
no delusions. Scott Brown proved that you don’t need to be a NARAL-pal, homo-marriage enthused nut to win in MASS.
Ya see, most pro-lifers can distinguish between a pro-choice Scott Brown who has a good voting record on the issue and a NARAL extremist like Tisei. That is why NRTL and MCFL have scorecards on their voting records. One is an ally, one is an adversary.
But I understand that for people disinterested in the issue, there is no difference between the two.

“The states leading antiabortion group said Thursday that it plans to support Senator Scott Browns reelection campaign ...
We consider him a senator who votes prolife, said Anne Fox, president of the Massachusetts Citizens for Life. We have to take his word for it when he says he is prochoice. But what were looking for is someone who votes prolife, and he does.
Brown said he would not reject the backing of Massachusetts Citizens for Life but reiterated that he considers himself a supporter of abortion rights.
Still, Brown received the backing of Massachusetts Citizens for Life in his 2010 run for Senate ...

Self-declared “pro-choice” Scott Brown, our Republican U.S. Senator now seeking re-election for a full six-year term, has received the endorsement of Massachusetts Citizens for Life, our state’s leading pro-life organization.

here’s the guy the RINOs should get behind ... would be an excellent candidate and is a fine human being.

And he’s not part of the Religious Right, so he fits your prescription.
I do see cheerleading... and especially when the hackneyed accusation made against those who oppose electing Republican leftists, the “purist !” argument, is trotted out. Again, most puzzling and bizarre a curse to make on a Conservative website.
Your constant usage of the politically-correct term for infanticide leads me to conclude you are not a pro-lifer.
I completely agree!
“The Conservative movement and the MA GOP needs to start from the grassroots.”
Yep. When the collective “we” wax poetic about how much more conservative John Silber (RIP) would have been as gov. than William Weld, it's a sign of systemic failure of the MA GOP. That's why you have people that don't bother voting anymore - because there's little to no discernible difference between the two parties in this state. Yep.
Scott Brown is 50/50 to win.
4 foot 10? Didn't leave many options. ;p
I'm glad I don't have to vote in this race.
I agree but some people have no sense of degrees. Tisei seems like he'd be the most liberal Republican in the House since Connie Morella.
You don’t get the anti-RINO argument.
And Tisei isn’t just a RINO but the most liberal in some time, better than the rat but not by all that much. And a gay.
The argument is he does more harm in lending a GOP face to a liberal gay Congressman than rat backbencher Tierney could ever do.
You need not agree (I hate them so much I might vote for Tisei if I lived there, I’m glad I don’t) but understand, it’s a little more complicated than “the democrat is even more liberal so vote GOP”.
No kidding, right?
“I'm glad I don't have to vote in this race.”
Like I posted last week, my relatives are voting against Tierney and Ricki provides that option. Being MA, with such a dearth of quality GOP candidates (MA GOP...snicker), I can see Ricki being a 1 or 2 termer at most before getting picked off.
No way do I see Ricki setting off a tidal wave movement of fagula Republicans; she provides a (pyrric) victory for the GOP in the deepest of blue states and makes the RATS spend money. And like I said before it is one less vote for Pelosi - that's the main (and pretty much only) “win” I see Ricki providing.
” I’m glad I don’t have to vote in this race. “
Don’t sweat it, Impy, its Chinatown (Massachusetts)
LOL, yeah.
