CNN's Managing Editor sent an email around the office today, praising Candy Crowley and trying to blunt criticism that she was unfair to Mitt Romney.
The email -- sent by Mark Whitaker and obtained by TMZ -- is almost a series of talking points to address Candy's critics.

Circle the wagons. If there was such a thing a journalistic ethics left, she would have been fired right after leaving the debate stage. And I’d say the same thing if a moderator did this to Obama. This shouldn’t be like pro wrestling where an actively and obviously biased referee is an active part of the game.

producers tried to keep it even but Obama went on longer largely because he speaks more slowly.What the H? So now the "Equal Results" crowd is giving extra credit for slow speakers because it's not their fault they don't think as fast?

There was a post yesterday on FR that he could not see Candy Crowley on TV because he only has a 19” TV. Hey, we couldn't see much but a big mug and lots of us thought Crowley was a man. After all, Mr. Crowley jumped in to go man to man on Romney when Obama was getting whooped.
