Romney supporters think he won the debate. Obama supporters think that he did. The important fact is that Obama needed a clear and decisive win to offset the shellacking he got two weeks ago. And he didn’t get it.

Hussein lost this debate like the first. Why? Because all the voters remember from the first is his tired, lifeless appearance. The talk was then about the dead obama. Now this one the voters saw the bias moderator who by trying to help the lifeless Hussein around the stage, the voters remember that bias and now want to know the real Libya story. Fortunately for Romney the next debate is on foreign policy and he gets to hit that pinata all night.

Obama didn’t need a clear and decisive win. He needed to reset the narrative on him and Romney, preferably back to the Romney as Scrooge perception that existed prior to the first debate. All Romney had to for was prevent himself from being repainted.

Last night was a major failure for Obama, because while he may have win on points he blew his last real shot at redefining Romney in a way that removed Romney as a credible/viable alternative.

He was more animated than in the previous debate, but his biggest problem is that, after 4 years, he still has little to run on.

Obamacare? 70% hate it.

Killing bin Laden. Okay, give him that. However, that is what has helped inflame the Midde East more than some obscure video.

Golf?

Month long vacations?

Michelle’s garden?

Bo?

There isn’t much else there.

23 million are unemployed.

The number of food stamp recipients has gone up some 30%.

The GNP is struggling at about 1%.

He says he created 5 million jobs in 30-some months. But, that doesn’t even keep up with population growth, and he has been president 45 months — each of those months seeing more than 1 million new joblessness claims.
