WASHINGTON, Oct. 15 (UPI) -- Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has a 3 percentage point lead over President Obama, the latest United Press International poll indicated Monday.
Forty-nine percent of likely voters said they would vote for Romney and 46 percent said they favored Obama, results of the UPI-CVoter poll indicated.
For the first time since UPI/C-Voter began polling for the 2012 election cycle, Obama's approval and disapproval rating were the same: 48 percent. Until this latest poll, approval ratings by registered voters were higher than his disapproval ratings for Obama's performance as president.

Here’s a new one.. Which Realclearpolitics isn’t reporting . They seem to be fairly arbitrary about what they will and will not include in the average.
Nice find.
Another poll where Bammy’s numbers are tanking and he is several points under 50%.
If Mitt holds his own again tomorrow night, the Kenyan’s numbers could spin into free fall.
Whatever happens we have had a great month in October thus far. We all remember the gloating the left was doing before the debate. “It’s over”. They had a bucket of cold water thrown in their faces and it’s great!
A few weeks ago I was discounting all the polls except Ras’, and that was based on a legitimate belief that all the other polls were crap. But it was nerve wracking to watch the lead keep changing hands in the Ras’ poll.
But over the past two weeks since the debate, all the polling news has been so good, I don’t worry about Ras’ anymore. And again, it’s not a case of “oh, you take the polls seriously when they look good for your guy, and you dismiss them when they look bad for your guy”.
It was more a matter of waiting for the election to get close enough away so that low info voters are really starting to pay attention, combined with getting to the point where these polling firms have their credibility on the line. And the debate was the catalyst for both of these things to occur.
Obama wants to be a dictator, and he understands the dynamics of being a dictator. When the masses are enthralled by the dictator, it makes the dictator feel powerful and confident. But when a dictator falls, it happens swiftly, and there’s no going back. The dictator meets his end looking completely deflated and pathetic. That’s what happened to Obama at the first debate, and he knows better than anyone that he can’t get his dictator mojo back.
I have a very very bad feeling about the debate tomorrow. Filth and his team know they’re absolutely against the wall and that this may well be their last chance to pull it out.
They’re going to pull something out of left field and Crowley will probably play right along. All the signs are bad from the bogus “Town Hall” format where people come whine about all the stuff they need from the government, to Crowley as a moderator, to all these mysterious Bain stories now oozing out of leftist precincts (something names Senestra is a favorite right now).
I’ll be here on the live thread for a lifeline....I think I’ll need it.

Lot of bad news for The Disaster in that poll. It does not break out the D/R/I ratio though.
The worst news for the RATs though is that 37% think the Republicans can best handle our problems while only 30% believe the RATs can.
Tsunami coming.
And if R wins the popular vote and O wins the electoral college?
Assuming the server doesn’t crash again.
There is nothing that The Disaster can do now I don’t care how desperate he is. Nothing he can hit Romney with. In any case the Town Hall format does not lead to such disclosures rather nebulous B.S. They aren’t even facing each other.
Besides The Disaster is just not that smart. Romney is twice as intelligent, unflappable and can think on his feet. The Disaster has no chance even if Crowley could help him. The Balloon has burst.
It ain’t going to happen or even be close.
Then Obama is reelected, eh wot?
What is this “popular vote” you speak of?
The Kenyan's number will spin and fall faster than Felix Baumgartner in the first four and a half minutes of his jump.
Yes I will be here too on the Live Thread depending on Freepers for their take as it’s going on because I won’t be at a TV. Let’s hope the Live Debate thread doesn’t crash like it did the last two debates. We need our server working tomorrow night. It’s very important.
Man, I hope you’re right. I agree Romney is smarter. And though I remain not a fan (I was a Newt guy), I have to admit that since the Florida debate he’s been very good.
I just have this feeling. I want this debate to be over. If it’s even a draw I think it might be over. But you KNOW the media headline tomorrow will be: “Obama bounces back.”
Book it. You’ll see that EXACT headline.
Hank
I hear you.
I am already so nervous about the debate that I can’t stand it. The leftists / media are fighting for their political lives and know as well as we do that if Romney wins tomorrow, he likely wins the whole election.
I am looking for them to pull out every dirty trick in the book to try to make a last gasp effort to pull Obama’s rotten hide over the finish line. Who knows? They might even pull it off because there are an awful lot of stupid people out there.
If by this time next week, Romney still maintains his lead in the polls, I will start to get excited. Until then, I remain cautiously optimistic and am trying to work like we are ten points down.
Oh the media is definitely gonna declare Obama the winner because he’s sinking fast and they need to try and save him. They tried to make Biden the winner but it didn’t fly.
We’ll see. I’m so nervous about tomorrow night.
Anyway, this poll is another poll showing R leading. Awesome!!
And this is a liberal poll so Romney is probably really leading by about 5 points.
