Because everyone had such a great time at the last shoot we are anxious for the next one.
The date for the 8th Annual TCMS shoot will be June 8th, 2013 and will be held at Dietz Gun Shop and Shooting Range, in New Braunfels, TX. Providing we get the OK from Mr. Dietz I will call him this week to discuss our coming to the range.
Staying in the Pelican Bay cottages this year was a stroke of genius, so we will again be staying in cottages. The cottage pick for this shoot is the Cypress Creek Cottages, in Wimberley, TX. There are only twelve cottages at this place, and as of this writing 7 of them have been reserved. NOTE: They require full payment at the time the reservations are made. Wimberley also has some very nice hotels in the area in the event all the cottages get rented.
Making it a three & a half day weekend will be the plans for many of us, that way we can enjoy the area and have lots of porch time.
The Friday night dinner & Saturday breakfast places have not yet been decided. There is still plenty of time to figure out those details. Saturday after the shoot lunch will be provided by our own chef ~ cpdiii (Thanks Charlie!). Suggestions for the Saturday night meal are more than welcome.
My thanks to mylife, penelopesire, LuvW, BuckeyeTexan and NYTexan for their help in getting these plans going.
Booked a flight yet?
Early to mid afternoon arrivals are best for fetching!
Not yet. The date of return is not far enough along yet, but I’m watchin’. And roger the mid-afternoon flight...Wednesday. Like last year! :)
I’m SO ready!
If my health holds up, I may be there.
I’ll let you know when I can.
Thanks for keeping me on your ping list.
Do y’all know if there are any cabins still available?
There are three left.
Thanks! I am trying to talk my other half into this.
Here’s hoping your health holds up.
She won’t regret it.
Cottages 2, 3, and 5 are still available but you will have to call to make reservations.
Mention “Texas Cowboy” for a 10% discount.
uh, I’m the she. The other half is the “he”
He’s not into talking about his conservative values on line because he gets too angry with the libs in charge. My freeping has been curtailed since we’ve been married but I really miss my FRiends and have been wanting to come to the shoot since the first one.
I have him about halfway convinced - I think.
Oh, and the shoot part is a wonderful draw for him. He asked if there were lots of different weapons to see down there. I assured them he would have lots and lots to take a gander at.
If he goes, I’ll send some New Mexico salsa just for him. Just ask The Mom.
Hey, are you going to TMS in April? We got tickets for both the Nationwide and Cup races this year. Would not mind meeting up and saying hello if we could find one another’s faces in the crowd.
We live close enough to Ft. Worth that we drive home at night so that probably excludes any meetings at other locations before or after either race, we’ll be stuck in traffic.
He’s a Maine-iac Slim, he can’t hardly handle medium salsa. Just sayin.
Now, me, I love anything at all called salsa. And I may be a native Texan (HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!!!) but I also love New Mexico. :)
Prolly not. Might be posting screen caps from the races.
But y’all are welcome to stop by my place for a steak dinner, margaritas, and crash in the guest bedroom Sat night.
Texas hospitality and all...
That’s OK, I can send him something with training wheels on it from Noooo Yawk City. ;)
Your guest bedroom would probably be better shared with someone who lives more than 70 miles from the track. Although, would love to get together sometime and perhaps if I can get this arranged it might be a the TCMS. Still working on it. Sent him the info on the cabins. Waiting for response. ... waiting ... ...

Oops - my bad.
He will not regret going. Not only will there be tons of guns to shoot, there will be good food & great company.
First, no prob.
Second, I know! He would love it. He will love the guns and food but he really would love being in a group of people where NO ONE will piss him off by being too liberal!
Have a chat with TheOldLady. Her husband was apprehensive about coming to last years shoot, but after much - uhm - “convincing” he agreed to go. He so enjoyed himself that he is looking forward to coming to this years shoot.
