Because everyone had such a great time at the last shoot we are anxious for the next one.
The date for the 8th Annual TCMS shoot will be June 8th, 2013 and will be held at Dietz Gun Shop and Shooting Range, in New Braunfels, TX. Providing we get the OK from Mr. Dietz I will call him this week to discuss our coming to the range.
Staying in the Pelican Bay cottages this year was a stroke of genius, so we will again be staying in cottages. The cottage pick for this shoot is the Cypress Creek Cottages, in Wimberley, TX. There are only twelve cottages at this place, and as of this writing 7 of them have been reserved. NOTE: They require full payment at the time the reservations are made. Wimberley also has some very nice hotels in the area in the event all the cottages get rented.
Making it a three & a half day weekend will be the plans for many of us, that way we can enjoy the area and have lots of porch time.
The Friday night dinner & Saturday breakfast places have not yet been decided. There is still plenty of time to figure out those details. Saturday after the shoot lunch will be provided by our own chef ~ cpdiii (Thanks Charlie!). Suggestions for the Saturday night meal are more than welcome.
My thanks to mylife, penelopesire, LuvW, BuckeyeTexan and NYTexan for their help in getting these plans going.
Well my, you’ve been called out!
Don’t miss out on fun when it can be had.
And especially don’t miss out on FRiends when they invite...
...bring Pook too!
Was good ta see ya again TM!
I’m sure this years event will be as great and as much fun as always.
If Luv W still has that pic of the peeps holding up TC’s .50 BMG handy, maybe she’ll post it since we talked about it so much...
That was one heavy dude! :)
Luv - Wish you could have joined us also. You are going to love the shops in the Town Square.
When is this rodeo thang y’all are cookin’ up? Not that I can probably make it...but..... :)
Sounds like I just might! :)
I’m looking forward to it ALL!
June seems so far away right now!
Well, after driving around like blind coon-dawgs seeking a critter on a rainy day we arrived at the motel to meet TheMom. After slug'n down a beer and not having been fed we seeked some chow. Had 'bout the worst burger and nachos ever at the local DQ.
Next morning brought good eats at the Wimberly Cafe.
This place really packs 'em in! My choice for Friday's b'fast.
We did some shop'n, then visited the cottages for a look see. We'll be happy there!
The back-up gun range was a bust so we are back to goin' to the Deitz range.
Got ta drive Buckeye's Truck back home, so that was a plus.
Thanks, BB! Is it too early to get excited? :)
Well heck Lil’ sis, I expect yuv half packed yer travel bag by now...
Just about! LOL!
Just need those last minute items chunked in! :)
After I finally got back to Wimberly Saturday, I thought I would try out that Italian you wanted to check out. But it was closed from 2:00 - 5:00, I wondered back into Wimberley Cafe and had a BLT ~ it was really yummy and not so packed at 3:30.
The Wimberly Cafe has great food and service!
It’s ALL about the food! :)
My biggest problem at this point is getting across all of DFW rush hour traffic to get there on time.
I will have to leave early, and I can do that, but it will be hard to time my arrival.
It could be a 3 hour drive
I will do my best to get there.
The show starts at 7?
Ha! Ya shulda seen the TX sized donut BT bought for her son on the way back!
No more Fridays off?
I will have most of Friday off, I just need to coordinate my arrival.
If it is at the end of the day travel time will be in flux.
It could be 1.5 hours, it could be 3.
Wish I coulda! :)
Yes it is!
Can hardly wait for Charlie's cooking after the shoot.
Mom
About how many will be coming to the shoot?
We need a vote on food.
1. Shrimp Creole
2. Seafood Gumbo
3. Brisket
4. Something Else?
I intend to cook two of the above.
I am looking forward to the shoot.
