Because everyone had such a great time at the last shoot we are anxious for the next one.
The date for the 8th Annual TCMS shoot will be June 8th, 2013 and will be held at Dietz Gun Shop and Shooting Range, in New Braunfels, TX. Providing we get the OK from Mr. Dietz – I will call him this week to discuss our coming to the range.
Staying in the Pelican Bay cottages this year was a stroke of genius, so we will again be staying in cottages. The cottage pick for this shoot is the Cypress Creek Cottages, in Wimberley, TX. There are only twelve cottages at this place, and as of this writing 7 of them have been reserved. NOTE: They require full payment at the time the reservations are made. Wimberley also has some very nice hotels in the area in the event all the cottages get rented.
Making it a three & a half day weekend will be the plans for many of us, that way we can enjoy the area and have lots of porch time.
The Friday night dinner & Saturday breakfast places have not yet been decided. There is still plenty of time to figure out those details. Saturday after the shoot lunch will be provided by our own chef ~ cpdiii (Thanks Charlie!). Suggestions for the Saturday night meal are more than welcome.

We’ve been having problems with herds of elephants & bear invading the neighborhood. ;-)

There has been a change of plans regarding the gun range. We will not be going to Dietz Range in New Braunfels. Instead, we are going to go to Lone Star Gun Range in Lockhart. http://www.lonestargunrange.com/
They said barring a burn ban there will be no problem with us cooking at the range; but they do not allow tannerite on the range.

Due to an extreme violation of range rules and etiquette our shotgun range is closed until further notice. Please be aware shotguns will NOT be allowed on ANY range until accomodations can be made.
We apologize that some ruined it for all, and appreciate your patience while we make adjustments.
What happened with Deitz?
Mrs. Deitz was rude to me.
To paraphrase Woodrow F. Call, "I hate rude behavior in a person, I won't tolerate it".

I've never been to a TCM Shoot....but I'd like to make the next one.
Let’s just say I was not my normal nice, polite self.
Lone Star Range looks just as nice as Dietz, and it is 15 minutes closer to the cottages.
Hope you can make it to this shoot.
