The bottom line is that she was right out in front with the faux-video story and was actually pushing it harder that anyone and then dropped out of sight after the memorial detour at Andrews instead of Dover. I don’t see anyone asking why that detour was made or anyone giving an answer, other than it did not work with the campaign schedule.
Now consider they have had over four weeks to come up with this story. Col David Hunt’s interview with Howie Carr on Friday was perhaps the best rendition I have heard yet. He knows what process was started when the Ops Center at the consulate hit the button that alerted the State Dept. when it started and was testified to at the hearings last week. He said there are digital and written logs of all communications events and this one would have started a chain reaction in that everyone in the administration chain of command knew of it just minutes into the raid.
All of them did nothing, especially the White House Situation Room, Pentagon and Foggy Bottom? The word was out to do nothing except for the eventual deployment of the QRF from Tripoli but that again was more window dressing than anything else.
That arrival at Andrews is where the asshat looked as uninvolved and bored as I have ever seen him. This guy is an empty suit whose strings are being pulled by a far craftier and dangerous pack of enemies of the state.
Yeah, Andrews rather than Dover, either because it interfered with the next campaign for fund raising stop or because he saw a similar scene in a Grisham inspired movie.
