Coptic Christians in Egypt have been under attack for ever,not really news,IMHO.Atlas Shrugs has been recording this stuff alone for years now.
Yes, I know. Obviously that’s why the Coptic churches have (apparently) fairly hefty security. (They were purportedly volunteering to go help our Embassy in Cairo!) But the account from “Diep” makes it sound like what was going on was considerably beyond the norm: I don’t think they’d have volunteered to help defend the U.S. Embassy if they’d realized how big the attacks on themselves would be.
The totality of what Diep says is perhaps more important than just the attacks on the churches — not that I want to minimize those attacks.
Also... Sometimes an average Freeper (like me?) who doesn’t have lots of time to spend here on a regular basis, or lurkers / occaisional visitors, should be reminded of continuing atrocities. IMO.
That all said, I think “Diep’s” account needs a little more substantiation before being posted as a separate thread.
