WASHINGTON — The lethal attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Libya last month has created an unexpected casualty: White House hopes that President Barack Obama would remain relatively unscathed on foreign policy issues in the presidential race.
Questions about whether the Obama administration ignored requests for beefed-up security in Libya and why a sizable CIA presence in Benghazi failed to foresee an attack by dozens of armed extremists have become a distraction — if not a problem — for the president's re-election campaign.
With less than four weeks until Election Day, the White House is being asked regularly whether security lapses contributed to the deaths of Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans in Benghazi on Sept. 11. After a contentious House hearing this week on security in Libya, the first question to Joe Biden at the vice presidential debate on Thursday was "Wasn't this a massive intelligence failure?"
The president — who as commander in chief ordered the raid that killed Osama bin Laden — is now referring questions on what went wrong in Libya to his State Department.

The Clintons do not take the fall... Others have always taken the fall for them... This is getting interesting.
Yet, at the same time, a bit funny too. Hopefully this will be a disastrous end to both Clinton and Oblamer. The icing on the cake would be Federal Prison for Holder for Fast & Furious.
The simple truth of this whole matter is Obama was asleep at the switch. He was golfing, vacationing and campaigning (skipping 60% of his intel meetings didn’t help, either) while the terrorists were planning. He, and his team, knew immediately how this attack would reflect on them, thus the push to deflect blame onto some silly movie trailer. I mentioned in an earlier thread that getting beat November 6th may be a blessing in disguise for Obama. This issue would then quietly die.
One more thought, this time regarding Ambassador Stevens: was an autopsy done? There were so many stories about what happened to him and I think an autopsy would make it clear how he died.

Who was the guest on Fox and Friends this morning (Sat) at about 6:30am(central time) who was there to talk about Benghazi in respect to the comments Biden made in the VP debate?
I believe the guy's first name is “Mark,” and he is a retired Lieutenant Colonel, apparently with a background in intelligence.
His comments were very, very strong, and he virtually guaranteed that we will learn some very dark and damning secrets about the White House's role in the Benghazi debacle.
Does anyone know who this guy is? I'd like to see if he's written any articles on the Benghazi incident.
