Andrew Breitbart, who died last March at just 43 years of age, was the hardest-hitting conservative activist of the Obama era. If you share his conviction that the leftist-dominated media is a threat to open political debate, you will want to see Hating Breitbart, which was screened recently in Washington. The film offers an affectionate look at the activist's political battles and outsized personality, but it also captures the rage he inspired in his adversaries -- partly due to his flamboyant, combative style, but mostly because he wouldn't play by their rules.

"Whether Andrew Breitbart will be remembered as an aberration or a prototype remains to be seen, but he understood something that conservatives too often forget: politics is not a business or a game. Our freedom is under attack, and this is a war."

Even his arch enemy Ariana Huffington respected him. Mostly.

"Whether Andrew Breitbart will be remembered as an aberration or a prototype remains to be seen, but he understood something that conservatives too often forget: politics is not a business or a game. Our freedom is under attack, and this is a war." Great article! I really appreciate your writing this article about Andrew. One of the things that has happened to America in the last 50 years is that we've become spectators. We watch the world go by. We read what others write and we let others act when we could. America has always been the land of possibility and action. Andrew was no spectator.
Andrew embodied the political action of a 19th century America and communicated that action with the newest technology. As America has aged it has become more gentrified. Andrew showed us the way back to activity and activism while he actively rejected the artificial turf activism of the left.
We are Breitbart!

I STILL think his heart attack is mysterious, especially since he had just dined with Bill Ayers and his wife. I know....get the tin foil.
