WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A U.S. security officer twice asked his State Department superiors for more security agents for the American mission in Benghazi months before an attack that killed the U.S. ambassador to Libya and three other Americans, but he got no response.
The officer, Eric Nordstrom, who was based in Tripoli until about two months before the September attack, said a State Department official, Charlene Lamb, wanted to keep the number of U.S. security personnel in Benghazi "artificially low," according to a memo summarizing his comments to a congressional committee that was obtained by Reuters.

This certainly sounds bad. But out of curiosity, I looked her up. She seems to have a good record, although who can tell?

Possibly she is being thrown to the wolves by her superiors?
A friend of mine is related to Nordstrom. This story is about to blow wide open.
So do you have an opinion as to what this debacle really was all about.
I don’t know particulars other than that the State Department ignored repeated pleas for more security. And I know that Nordstrom’s concerns are hardly political (even though, thanks to Hillary and BHO, it’s a political issue now).
bump to bookmark thread.
Baraq was out playing golf when the red phone rang, apparently.
That would make a great commercial if anybody at the RNC is reading this.....
I probably should have been clearer. I suspect that this woman may have been ordered by her superiors not to provide more security for Benghazi. I don’t know that for certain, but her past record certainly doesn’t look like a typical obamanoid.
There was one wild theory that this was intended for an October surprise, where Obama would rescue the captive ambassador and prove how wonderful he was—sort of a reverse Jimmy Carter—but instead they killed him. But I think that’s pure speculation, so far.
This is a fascinating guess on what was going on. Ties to much of what we have uncovered.

Does anyone know if Glenn Doherty, Tyrone Woods or Sean Smith were actually armed?
