October 7, 2012 (CHICAGO) (WLS) -- Republican vice-presidential candidate Paul Ryan came to the Chicago area for a big fundraiser, and protesting Democrats were waiting for him.
His motorcade arrived at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare.
The top price was nearly $76,000 per person.
Outside, Democrats demonstrated against the Republican agenda and Big Bird joined them to protest Mitt Romney's plan to end the federal subsidy for the Public Broadcasting System.
They were upset about his Medicare plans, but Republicans say they're on a roll after the first Presidential debate.
"The Romney-Ryan voucher plan would leave seniors at the mercy of health care insurance companies," said Katie Jordan of the National Alliance of Retired Americans.

Looks like BIG BIRD is following Paul Ryan all over the USA.

SNUFF THE ROOSTER!!!!
Don’t they lefties realize that Big Bird, Oscar, Elmo and all the fat cats at the Sesame Workshop and PBS are all part of the evil “one percent”?
Sesame Street makes millions in profits and the executives at this “not for profit” make a fortune as do most Public Broadcasting execs.
Looks like a commie lib freak dressed up like a chicken to me. Ryan needs to hire Foghorn Leghorn to whip Big Bird’s Big government ass.
Big Bird. How original.
I was at the Romney rally in Newport News VA yesterday and some idiot was there in a raggedy Big Bird costume too. The rats must’ve bought a truckload of those crappy outfits.
Well, in addition to a stupid-looking imposter for Big Bird, we have someone who can’t spell throwing the ultimate “Teabagers” insult at us. He is not only using a gay slur (a large part of his own constituency) with the insult, but he is also showing us the sorry state of our public schools. Of course, he is in Chicago, so that should go without saying.
Human, bird, etc??

Ah, but, as Marshall Mcluhan said, “The medium is the message.”
So, all those fat cat rich execs that make millions off of the Sesame Street characters can be “forgiven” by the left because of the message they send. Like Ben and Jerry’s.
I have always thought of Sesame St. as creepy and the absolute WRONG way to teach kids anything.
Compare the SAT scores of the Sesame Street generation to those of the Bugs Bunny/Road Runner generation.
Ryan should have Big Bird Ushered up to the stage and Ryan should give BB a short financial lesson on economics and how Big Bird’s Employers should pay their fair share, then after the lessonl, Ryan should have the ushers marched Big Bird to the back of the studio so Big Bird can have his head rung!
Hey Big Bird! What did you do with the $50,000,000 you made last year?
Oh, Detroit, not Chicago. My mistake. But then, I am sure the public schools are just as bad there, if not worse.
They’re just urban campers.
Umm......i don`t think he is a rooster........a capon maybe.
Romney and Ryan need to take Big Bird protestors head on. Call them up on stage and/or raise up a Big Bird doll and explain that the company that owns Big Bird makes over a 100 million dollars a year, selling products and advertising.
That’s a successful example of capitalism, but why should a poor farmer in Ohio or a miner in Pennsylvania have part of their taxes go to subsidize Big Bird?
They need to get ahead of this and start labeling Big Bird as part of the 1% and explain how much Sesame Street makes and STILL gets tax dollars.
Now that Barry has lost everyone else, he’s going after the toddler vote. Nice.
