In February 2001, Julieanna Richardson, as part of an oral history on black Americans called "History Makers," interviewed Barack Obama at length.
Although the 10,000-plus-word interview offers no Eureka moments, it does help demystify Obama's debate failure and deepens the doubt that he uniquely authored his own memoir, Dreams from My Father. Kudos to attorney Barron Sawyer for bringing this interview to light.
Richardson seems to capture the 39-year-old state senator as he was -- cautious, ambitious, and more than a little vain. Given his ambitions, Obama confined his discussion to topics that would not derail his political career. When asked about his influences, for instance, he did not mention Frank Marshall Davis, his communist mentor from Hawaii, or any of the other communists and fellow travelers he cited in Dreams, like Langston Hughes, Richard Wright, W.E.B. DuBois, and Frantz Fanon.
Off the cuff, here as always, Obama did not...
--snip--
Complicating Obama's debating posture was his inability to express his truest sentiments. As he told Richardson, he had long been asking himself, "... how do we bring about more just society? You know, what are the institutional arrangements that would give people opportunity?" He had learned as a boy in Indonesia that the wealthy were not "smarter or more able" than the poor, but rather "craftier, stronger or luckier, or more ruthless."
As Obama matured, he projected what he saw in Indonesia to America and came to see that the "racism in the United States is just one expression of sort of a broader set of injustices that you see around the world." Unable to voice his core beliefs in the debate, Obama lacked a true organizing principle around which to order his thoughts. This problem will plague him in the foreign policy debate as well, perhaps even more...

This is a problem of Obama's own doing. He is perfectly able to express his core beliefs. Obama knows, however, that that his beliefs are so offensive to voters that he would end his candidacy by expressing them.
Instead, it appears Barack Obama's primary and core belief is that Barack Obama is really amazing.
A close corollary is that Barack Obama believes Barack Obama is entitled to a lot of wonderful things.
And nice articles deserve to be surrounded by the adverts that pay for them.
” On one occasion a tennis coach touched Obama’s skin to see if the color rubbed off — and this in Hawaii, mind you”
That’s the biggest line of hooey ever! That line screams Ayers or a white man imagining being black.
The tennis coach also touched obama’s behind thinking obama’s brain was located close to it..

Some noteworthy articles about politics, foreign or military affairs, IMHO, FReepmail me if you want on or off my list.
It’s stoopit how everyone is always looking backwards at this guy.
Get a friggin clue....
This definitely rings true to me. We know he’s a Marxist racist and has a well defined agenda which has many aspects that he can only move forward surreptitiously and through surrogates like Holder.
So out in the open, like in a debate, he’s like a spy being interrogated that has to at all times stick to his cover story and never let the truth slip out, but so much tougher because it is a debate in front of 70 million people and he has to perform as well. Huge pressure - an almost impossible task if faced with a competent opponent.
As for Dreams From My Father, Bill Ayers claims to be the author.
“Obama is the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people” Clint Eastwood
Well, he couldn’t come right out and defend his plan, the opposite if Romney’s because he would have to admit his SOCIALISM.
Better to look dumb and unprepared than give the other side the ammo to call you what you are: COMMIE!
All the new tapes coming out have little slip ups, like referring to a “more internationalist” foreign policy.
It’s all there; I can’t understand why people didn’t listen to what he was actually saying.
He mentioned the phrase “economic patriotism” code for govt takeover of private industry in the first five minutes of the debate.

Textual analysis, both manual and computer, show a 90+% match with the writings of Bill Ayers. Coincidence? I don’t believe in coincidences.
hahaha!
Disagree.
Except for a handful of Conservative researchers, no one has ever looked carefully at this guy's life.
When you apply for a job or a mortgage, complete strangers are passionate about looking backwards at your life.
What makes a presidential candidate any different?
So it was Obama's hubris that caused his weak debate performance? Though I prefer to think that the cause was Obama's repugnant political philosophy, you are probably correct. All the Dems need is a shrewder leader and we'll all be socialists.
And it comes down to this (and we conservatives have known it for years)...
When the cloak of “media” protection is stripped away and his comments can`t be airbrushed into gauzy pronouncements from on high; when he`s questioned and challenged directly by a truly capable opponent; and when he has to hide his true socialistic intentions with ever more lies... Obama simply isn`t that sharp. Like Krauthammer wrote last week, Obama isn`t even half as brilliant as he thinks he is.
The emperor truly has no clothes.
I think the Reader’s Digest version is this: he is ignorant and without balls.
