Mr. Obama does not like debates to begin with, aides have long said, viewing them as media-driven gamesmanship. He did not do all that well in 2008 but benefited from Senator John McCain’s grumpy performances. Mr. Obama made clear to advisers that he was not happy about debating Mr. Romney, whom he views with disdain. It was something to endure, rather than an opportunity, aides said.
Chavez and for the future washerwoman-Schultz. She won’t debate either.
Sounds a lot like sour grapes...I bet he’d have loved them if he had had a better performance......Since he didn’t they don’t matter......
This one resonates as being based on a kernel of truth.
Obama cannot build a case to support his ideas. When exposed to reality checks, and opposition, his 'grandiose' plans and marxist philosophical musings whither like a flower baked by the noon day sun.
Of course Obama disdains debates. He is all for 'dictating', not for listening and defending his (indefensible) ideas....
I win all my debates in the shower also. Every time.

I am not ‘familiar’ with the defect etc but was assuming that someone with the ego the size of BO’s would never knowingly put himself in a position to ‘look bad’....

Apparently the campaigning for the Presidency is beneath him. I guess we should just annotate him rather then expect him to work for the job.
May, for me, LOATHE comes pretty close to describing it.
Given Frank Marshall Davis, Rev. Wright, his mother, and other influences in Obama’s life, the words of Mao are probably like mother’s milk to O.
When you have a s**t record to run on Obama does not like debates.
The Incompetent One was exposed during the debate. He’s lazy and not that bright. He spews out slogans on the campaign trail but cannot discuss anything indepth when he is challenged.
He affirmative actioned his way through life. His media sycophants protect him and don’t want their manufactured president to fail. American deserves better.

Sorry, Barack, but it is an American custom. Think Lincoln versus Douglass, all that American tradition. I always knew you were anti-American. This just proves it.

They broke out all his teeth when they banned TOTUS from the Debate. The kenyan didn’t even need to be there. Anyone with a properly presidential voice could have read the scrolling words.
Didn’t the won get a law degree? I thought part of the lawyer “deal” was Debate 101. He must have missed class that day.......
He was playing golf, his chair was empty.
If the kenyan’s people actually believed he was “ahead” he would have likely refused to debate.
I half expect him to cancel the next one.
I may be crazy, but sometimes I wonder if he isn’t just going to drop out all together.
I think there may be some people digging on a substance abuse issue with him, plus if his numbers keep sliding, his strategists may say that if Obama drops out, blaming Bush or Romney or racism or a nervous breakdown or whatever, once again the libs play the victim card, and throw all their resources behind Biden, who may have the reputation of a fool, but not a failure.
It’s just a “what if”, but I’m keeping one eye watching Biden...
Well, he doesn't mind questions such as
"President Obama. Do you ever get choked up when you look in the mirror and recall just how wonderful you are?"
