Yes that would work too and it has a somewhat different inference to it. Was he saying the people there were acting very professionally at that moment towards him or was he saying that those people were professionals in their careers and very good at them? TOTUS mangles the English language so badly it's hard to know what he intended to convey.

In all seriousness I can follow authentic American ebonics better than I can his Choom Gang gibberish.

This, I believe, is correct. He was flattering them by saying they all perform flawlessly all the time, while he (little self-deprecating smirk) had one off night.

Of course, musical performers have Autotune, recorded backup tracks, support people ... and anyone who has ever attended a performance knows that a performer is sometimes better, sometimes worse, and never "flawless." But why let reality intrude into a cloud of leftist mutual-admiration opium-smoke?
