“Bomberger, who is black, is an adoptee, as well as an adoptive father and Emmy award-winning creative professional.”
He sounds like a great guy! I’m glad they are doing this.
This, to me, has been Obama’s greatest failure - he could have really done something (or tried to do something) about the state of the black family.
At the start of his term he had almost universal goodwill, even from some on our side (although not me because he is a communist, but leave that aside for now); he had “cool”; he had the bully pulpit; he had a wife and two lovely children; he even had the narrative of coming from a (twice) broken home himself. But, he hadn’t perpetuated that into the next generation.
He could very well have gone out and spoken to young black men, urged them to marry their gals, form intact families, be real parents to their kids. Maybe only a few would have taken his message to heart, but I’m sure SOME people would have. And who knows how a thing like that might take off. You never really know what will grab the public’s imagination.
But, insofar as I know, he’s never said one d*mn word about any of this. A unique opportunity squandered by a man who thinks about no one but himself.
Great post. You’re so right about that missed opportunity.
Then I remind myself: Why would he want to help cure this problem? He and his commie fellow-travelers stand to gain too much by all those black useful idiots, just as he gained from them in Chicago.
I agree. The _resident had the bully pulpit & could have done some good things for blacks in our country in spite of his being a marxist.
As it is now when he loses the election we will have the strong possibility of racial confrontation. I don’t think even he knows how much damage he has done to race relations. Or maybe he does?
And of course, Obama has promised to overturn the law prohibiting partial birth abortion. Sure he would get to do that if he is re-elected.
